You opened up a Pandora box by posting this. You should come in and answer questions on your post.

I didn't post up such a thing here because I knew what it would do. Although I do have such a post in the 5th gen forum using compustar.

People with questions on the topic should pm him NOT me. I'm a dead end for tech support. I will not offer any, I quit a job at"shall remain name less" top alarm/remote start company for tech support after 1 day because of the skill level of the people doing installs is -5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Are you not paying attention? All of the questions you are asking in your last post have already been answered in this thread or you've been provided with places to find the answers. The install isn't difficult but if you're this tepid you may want to find an installer to do this for you.

Follow the wiring chart diagram that I provided and you'll be fine.
You have the install manual...right? 99% of your "Do I need to hook this up" or "What does this do" questions will be answered if you read that.

You'll have better luck with diagnostic questions and alarm wiring issues over on The12volt forums.

It's not that complicated. I head hurts trying to read pages of a single post for a single wire. If it is then don't do it.

You can read all you want. Only the people that complain will post something not working. Such as the defroster. I do it, I alsoretain the auto lights too, I do hatch roll up and down,

I hate DEI, I refuse to attempt to relearn their junk.
I can not offer you any tech support on that product. Call the guys you bought it from.

You didn't even venture into the transponder bypass yet aND you have all these questions.

Sorry if I sound like I'm complaining or being mean or being a jerk or whatever. It just irritating that one would think and over think and belive everything on the Internet is true. Just get in there and do it. If you don't know how, don't do it. If you run into problems, post a question maybe someone has time and the knowledge to answer it.

Good luck is the best thing I can do for consumer level tech support.

I'm still trying to decipher what you're talking about here...if you're talking about your head or what. As far as the defroster goes, I'm not bothering with that feature.

I'm just trying to clarify a lot of ambiguous "you might need this", "I think I connected this", "I'm not sure if this wire connected here or there" posts. I'm trying to avoid what you did [MENTION=115980]njsanna[/MENTION], which was spend 3 days to install something that should only take a couple hours apparently. I want to do it correctly the first time. This is my first alarm install and I will install it correctly and completely. I'll be sure to take some coherent, unambiguous notes for the next person who wants to tackle this without other people getting their panties in a wad when asked for help. Constructive criticism will be appreciated...but I can't guarantee you won't be as easily irritated as you were from my other post.

I found my book...here are the things I connected to for my system alarm and remote start. Everything that is highlighted and has a checkmark was connected, plus H3/5 Neutral Safety Switch.
This was for a 791XV, but it would be similar to your install.





Anything else is going to be up to you to decide if you want that option.
