Mickey Thompson 265/75/16s at wally world for $134.00 good deal for street only?

I saw that wally world has these tires for $134 each:

Mickey Thompson Baja Radial STZ Tire 265/75R16 116R OWL

I'm thinking of getting these for my 2WD 01 Limited, once I put 99 springs and 2" spacers on it.

I don't expect to do any offroading, so these are just for the pose factor.

My stock tires are at the tread wear indicators so it's time for new tires anyway.

what are your thoughts?

Great price. I have these on my truck.

Thoughts:

They grip well on road and do really well on wet pavement and through deep puddles. They have been fantastic off road in all conditions (fantastic on sand and rocks), except they were okay on clay-based, Oklahoma red mud (they did better than average, it did not perform like a mud terrain. You're not going offroad so no worries there). Also, they have worn really well. I have around 15k on them and they still look very fresh. VERY fresh, tbh.

My biggest gripe:

I cannot get them to perfectly balance, leaving a bit of shimmy in the steering 65-70mph. It's not bad, but it's not perfectly smooth like my previous Michelins were. Also, these tires pulsate and whine a good amount starting around 34mph, and it gets the loudest around 4wmph. Really, they make some noise everywhere, but the whine and the tread vibration are the most noticeable at those mentioned speeds.

Takeaway? If you want taller tires for the look and you're NOT going offroad, I would look into a different, smoother tire. You can find the height you're looking for with a more road mannered chunk of rubber. If you want to go on and offroad but don't want a MT tire, this is a fantastic tire for just that.

In your case, pose with height and get a smoother ride, but that's the adult in me offering that advice.
