Everything was gong fine until putting the dash back on. with the cb in I couldn't get it. took the cb out and the plywood on, still couldn't get it to fit comfortably. and even without the plywood I couldn't get it. then I started looking around really closely and found what I think is the problem.
I must have yanked too hard before taking the screw out that attached behind it.. but I think I bent a part of the plastic behind the dash.
if anyone knows what I could do to fix it then I'd be ecstatic.
I was thinking of using a heat gun and moving it back into place, not sure how it actually looks though because the only time I've seen it was now, when it was bent. I don't think it could have moved too much though. probably 1/2".
If any one has pictures behind the dash I'd appreciate it. I'm looking for all I can find right now.

Also if anyone cares to see, This is also just adding to my already crappy day as the mount needed a lot of modification in order to fit...
