I didn't have any experience before but if you take your time it will turn out well. I would recommend doing a seat heater upgrade while you are at it as well. Thanks for the information..., I will check out he site. My seats already are heated, so I won't need to deal with that. :-)

Nice build on your 2006!

Nice Suburban, I still have my last Suburban and have owned 2, the first was a 1988 GMC, it was still running when I let it go, it had over 250,000 miles on it, the one I still have is 2000 Chevy, it runs like it did when it was new and has around 240,000 miles on it, I haven't driven it much in the last year or so since I got my 2004 Limited T4R.

It was a great truck when I had it. I had worked on it with my father since I was about 13 or 14 and for my 17th birthday my parents gave it to me. Had it for my senior year but due to getting 8 miles to the gallon and it being a huge vehicle it was not going to be practical for college so I sold it and bought the 4runner from my mom. Luckily the new owner planned on keeping it as a restoration project. Sometimes I do miss the V8 rumble though haha

Thanks! thats why I ended up doing mine haha. I would recommend you get the mini led's for the buttons like the DAC and diff lock. You will also need I believe 330 Ohm resistors in series. The HVAC controls are similar but the blue LED's in the controls did not require a resistor. The LED's on the instrument cluster are all white except for a few on the gear lights. The only way I found the change the needle colors were to scrape the back orange paint off then go over the front with blue sharpie. Hope that helps!
 
Finally clean!

Just cleaned up yota today. Was long overdue for a wash and vacuum

Old Seat covers

Would anyone be interested in buying my old cloth seat covers? It would include everything except the rear head rest covers and a few of the metal seat cover supports.
 
New mods To Come!!

I have several more mods I will be doing over the course on the next week. I’ll update with pictures when I get them done. The list includes:
-Flowmaster 40 muffler
-resonator delete and side exit exhaust
-heads up display installed for speed reading
-massaging seats mod
-Spectre Cold air intake for deeper engine sound

Hey, these were from LeatherSeats.com but they have been great! No complaints whatsoever. I actually found out that i could switch the passenger and driver seat cushion so that the outer portion is more firm. Im about to be taking apart the fronts again though to add in this massaging kit that I made haha.
 
Update

The massaging seats for now is going to have to wait. I couldn’t seem to find any good places to install the massager motors. As for the heads up display they sent me the wrong one so it doesn’t fit. I’ll have to see what I can do about that
 
Flowmaster muffler installed and resonator deleted!

Here are a couple pictures during the install. I’ll get a few more pictures of the side exit (not shown in the images yet)when I get the chance. Still deciding if I will do a exhaust tip. This sounds great! I’ll take video of the exhaust note also. There is a slight drone at 1500 rpm but nothing unbearable.

Hey there. Very clean looking truck!

Would you mind telling me which LEDs you used for the instrument cluster, hvac controls, etc...? As well as which ones you used for the interior lighting?

Hey, here are the led's I ended up using for everything

interior map and door lights

for the instrument cluster I ended up using PLCC-2 type led's and for the hvac controls as well as the other switches I used 1.2K ohm resistors along with a 3mm flat top led. for for the led's below the buttons on the hvac controls no resistor was used.

Update

I just purchased a 2016 tacoma steering wheel and plan to do the swap in the next few weeks. I will be having to rewire the steering wheel controls and cruise control but it will be worth it!
 
Did you treat the underside of your 4runner with something? I bought a bunch of rust remover and I'm trying to get some ideas on how to seal it after I clean everything up.
