Hi all. been a while!
a year or so ago we got rear-ended. bought a used tailgate and installed our old glass in it. i didn't realize it at the time but forgot to hook up the defroster.
i went in today for an unrelated clanking (one of the latch cables wasn't in its clip), and realized i have the common red and black wires on the driver's side but only a single spade terminal on the glass.
there is another terminal on the passenger side. but there is also a large conductor on the glass that appears to connect the two. they also seem to each connect to the wider vertical conductors that connect the ends of the thermal wires.
is this a year mismatch on the tailgate wiring harness and the glass?
does the glass need a "jumper" wire to get to the other side?
i made a jumper wire but it's not working (haven't checked the relay nor the fuse yet).
anyone have pics of where the "other terminal" is supposed go?
