Mixing Toyota Pink & Red Coolants

Hey guys, just did the timing belt on my 04 4runner and all is well minus me not buying enough Long-Life coolant. I bought two gallons and it did not fill up the entire system. I have two gallons of the original Toyota red coolant sitting in my garage and was wondering if it would be okay to finish filling the system with this diluted with distilled water?

I found this http://www.toyotapart.com/ENGINE_COOLANT_COLOR_CHANGE_T-PG010-02.pdf, but it is 10 years old, so its relevance might be questioned.

Probably wouldn't hurt anything but for what coolants worth u may as well just buy a new one

true story, just means I have to wait until Monday to drive it (all the stealerships in my area are closed on Sundays :wtf: )

If it is just a small amount I would just finish it off with the distilled water.

Doesn't make sense to buy more coolant when you already have it in hand.

Use the stuff you have. The bulletin clearly states that the two are compatible. Use it and save money and get it off your shelf collecting dust.
