Modding ? w/lease

I've done a few mods but nothing major ( see sig. )
just cosmetic , grill , skid plate , Revos , ect...

I want to do more like a 1" or 1.5" CF lift , The Revos will be swapped out the summer sometime for BFG's , but same size as my sig. 265/70/17. Also a Westin Safari bar and lights . Granted I can take this all of and sell it , but whats your thought about the lift which I'm sure I'll have to remove. My lease has 26 mo. left. It is a 3 year 86k mile lease .

My sales guy also told me that after 2 years Toyota will give me out option because they want you to get a new one and n ot have so many miles on it . ( that maybe BS , but I've never delt with Toyota before).

This is the first vehicle I ever leased to my acct's. recommendation. Hopefully will but next time unless it will hinder the business tax wise. I HATE LEASING !! I LIKE MODDING.... I could always buy it out for 17k at the end. I should be about 20-25k under my lease miles because of a change in business as of now , but who knows what will change in the future.

I drive alot !!! so no extreme modding because I want the nice ride too and need the reliability.

I wouldn't mod a lease vehicle aside from easy to swap things (radio, tires, seat covers, etc). If you damage something while installing or removing the mod, you end up paying more for the repair... Besides, what are you going to do if you lease a different type of vehicle next time? I know how you feel, but I would refrain from modding a leased vehicle.

Lift it. Won't be that hard to go back to stock if needed. Dollars to donuts that the toyota dealer wont notice a 1" lift anyhow. Seeing how half the time they cant explain the stock features correctly to a customer. Paint the lift pucks black so they blend in with the upper shock mount or coat them with a little Herculiner so they appear to be undercoated from the factory. Your secret is safe with us.

Yeh,It wont be nothing crazy plus I can alway buy it out at the end. If Im that far under milage leased It might be worth it. .... we'll see

I wouldn't do any permanent mods to a leased vehicle. I think there is a stipulation in the lease that you can't do any of tat. My first truck was leased and all I installed was the mirror and Revos. Revos were transferred from that truck to my current 4Runner.

modding makes me nervous as well. All i did on my rig is bumper guards front and back, and lights. Thats it. Mark was right, you never know what you could mess up if you mod it out.

Stick to bolt on items and you'll be fine. Just make sure to remove em b4 you return it.
