Modification options for 89 4runner which would you choose?

Hey guys I got a limited amont of money and here are the 3 options tell me which one you think would be most worth it thanks guys!

Option1- use money to put on exhaust pics below and buy a black permeant adhessive dash pad/cap to put on cracked dash here is the link to the dash pad/cap:

Option2- use money to do dual exhaust with a y pipe and get another one of the exhaust mufflers below so I will have 2 put on

Option3- put on the single exhaust I have pics below and buy these Toyota powdercoated black rims pics below

Please help I'm stuck which one would be more worth it?

Id be interested in knowing why? It's a muffler by the way and was only $58 bucks, 1 it will increase performance and sound especially since in getting a custom 2.5 or 3.0 inch pipe from the catolitic convertor back 2 it looks killer and bada$$

I dont have much seniority here but, Seriously shiny mufflers and neon lights?? Kinda sounds like stuff that should belong on a Honda like 5 years ago. Being 17 with a 4runner leads to this kinda madness.. Just my two cents. Dont take it the wrong way. But to answer your question none the less get the black wheels

your not going to notice a power increase with a first gen 4runner. V6 or 4cyl, either way it doesnt matter. and if you like it then do it. but putting a big pipe on a stock truck is not going to look BA.... just sayin

i had duals on my 1st gen and it was cool for like the first month. Then it just sucked. The noise was crazy. Yeah it rumbled like a big block. I had the most people ask if I had a 350 in there. I am now back to a little bit better than stock exhaust.

Not sure if it was with the duals or not but if the top was on and the back window was down I would be dead in about 5 minutes due to the exhaust!!!

No it actually weighs exactly 27.4lbs and feels heavier. It is durable and very strong made of stainless steel with burnt tips and great flow and performance I will get a video this weekend of it maybe. You can mock the "can" all you want but this thing kicks major a$$.don't deny the can till you try it lol.

haha i tried it... "i got my 4runner when i was 16 and i thought it was BA to" like i said i tried it and it sucked, way to damn load and im back to almost stock exaust. stock headers, stock cati, cheap muffler from auto zone and i ended the tale pip just past the rear shock so that way i didnt have to worry about "looks" haha

why dont u put the money towards new headers? and intake? ive heard that opens it up alot. i would rather have performance than looks but im thinkin your the oppisite huh? im not "hating" but im not much older than you and i did all the "cool" stuff your doing and i only kept a few things that way. i wish i woulda put all that money towards somthing usefull!!!:bash:

I looked for headers and I could not find ones for the 3.0 v6, I'm not sold on any intakes because I don't know which ones are good for the money and would fit any suggestions?? But i have looked. and I have looked at air filters. And a bunch of parts like that I don't have the money for but eventually will do.. and as for performance parts go, I had the whole top engine rebuilt with some upgraded parts, and when it comes to performance last time I checked an exhaust was performance.

Oh Man.
Id get the wheels and that is all, in your scenario.
Yea, you are right, exhaust is performance.... but there is much more to consider...
1) are you getting a COMPLETE exhuast kit (minimal gains) or just mufflers (even less hp gains, lots of noise gained).
2) If you really wanted notable performance you would get intake, header(s) and exhuast and do it all at once so that it was like 'yeah, i just got 15hp'.
3) those mufflers are definitely designed more for looks than tested performance, and in my opinion look cheesy. No matter if your 4r is v6 or i4, the sh|t isnt gonna be fast...so those fast and furious mufflers will do you only harm
basically mate, I support your idea to gain power and performance with (intake, header &) exhaust work, but if you are really wanting to get the best performance gain and all around product, you are going to want to do more research and sampling. If everyone with $50 could go to autozone and 'trick out' their car they would do alot of these same chincey things you're considering. Take your time mate, think it through, do it how you want it, have no regrets!
