I'm going with a huge group on the 15th leaving from Avi Casino. You're welcome to come with us if you wanna delay it a week. We'll probably go a little slower since its a group of 20+ of various rigs.

That would be great, but this is the only weekend I have free in November. Pack your cold weather gear, you might hit snow at higher elevations.

Looks like I'm going to Anza Borrego with the family that weekend instead, so I'm out.

Well guys I'm going to be out on this one. I have something else that came up the same time frame(Winter Camping). Have a great tip guys and take pictures also.

Not really sure my rig and I are ready for this. I don't have much cold weather gear and I'm worried about fuel. I'm assuming everyone is bringing some extra tanks of gas? I have one 5 Gallon tank I could strap to my roof rack.

But because I don't completely know what to expect, what are some must haves for the trip?

Well, you're going to need food/water for at least 4 days, a properly maintained vehicle, a sleeping bag rated for 30*(or a ton of blankets) and warm clothes. I'm asking everyone that's going to bring firewood also. You'll want a chair around the campfire too

Suggestion, might want to bring couple extra gallon of gas. I think total length is 150 miles. Just in case you guys do some exta wheelin. Give us update when you guys get back. Especially on the water levels. Be safe!

Ah, how could I forget that? I always bring my NATO gas can. Our trip will be roughly 187 miles

How far off the road are you? We haven't had a lot of traffic, but when it does show up, it is really dusty.
