Monthly Meets in Central AR

I'd like some suggestions/comments on monthly meets in central AR. My thought is to have a meet every first Monday of the month. This would allow us to always know when it is and plan accordingly. If another day would work better, this can be changed. Other clubs I've been in have meet up on Saturday mornings for a "cars and coffee" meet. I'd be willing to do something like that, but not sure if everyone else would be available.

Anyway, I'd like some suggestions on things to do / places to meet. I'm not from LR and don't know of a lot of places. I can randomly pick restaurants and move it around, but would rather hear some input from you guys. Doesn't have to be a restaurant, once weather gets nice it could be a parking lot somewhere or whatever. Hopefully we can work in some off road trips here and there as well.

Once we get some of the details worked out, I'll post up a thread with the meeting place/time for each month. If there are enough suggestions, I'll try to set a schedule for several months at a time so we can plan for it.

I'm open for whatever works for the majority. Once the weather warms a little I suggest meeting in the Ouachitas for a meet/day run. There is a nice day use area at Lake Winona and I have seldom seen anyone there when stopping for lunch when on the trails. We could have lunch there and a quick run around the ONF afterwards. I'm willing to plan a route with some basic input of what everyone wants, pinstripe/no pinstripe. :biggrin2:

The Central Overland group occasionally meet in Conway at the Brick Oven Pizza Co. since they have a huge table for people to gather around.

It's hard to get everyone together due to schedules but I agree that setting a monthly time might make it easier.

There is a nice day use area at Lake Winona and I have seldom seen anyone there when stopping for lunch when on the trails. We could have lunch there and a quick run around the ONF afterwards. If others don't mind the pinstriping, I'd say plan a trip for that. It's whatever the majority wants. If we take a trip where pinstriping is likely, I may try catching a ride in an open seat.

I'm usually available after work (5pm) on weekdays and then starting in April I'll be more open to the weekends. My gf and I will be moving to Maumelle in April so that means my weekends wont always be tied up with her since we'll be seeing each other daily instead of just weekends. You guys obviously know I'm always down to ride and don't give a shit about damage

My fault for missing this particular thread, but I'm definitely in. I'm also pretty flexible with schedule and live in WLR. I've only met ARKRWLR, ARKSWAMPRIDER, and Josh, so I look forward to meeting everybody else.

Yea man, everything is fine. We were planning on moving in June or July, but found a good deal on a house in Conway and decided to jump on it and move right away. It's taken a lot to get all of our stuff moved and situated into the new house, plus trying to find time to work on my 4runner and running into various issues there, these meets and the forum in general have been on the back burner. Turkey season starts on the 20th and I'll be out of town hunting for a couple weekends there. Thanks for checking, really appreciate it.

I agree....my rig is pretty much stock and mild all terrain tires for now. Hopefully in a couple months that'll change though.
