Mooretoyx4's new 99 runner

Traded my 02 ex cab 2wd tacoma w 190k for a 99 4wd sr5 runner with 215k. This is my first 3rd gen runner, it has the 3.4 auto and a glove box full of service records. This thing runs like new and the timing belt was changed at 180k.


First thing I did was changed the fluids and filters then plasti dipped the bumpers, grill, and wheels. Then sold the 225/75/16 tires and bought some 265/75/16 nitto terra grapplers. Also I ordered some blue and yellow bilsteins.


I already have a built crawler, so I'm not going to go too crazy with the runner but I'm gonna be doing several things over time as money allows.

One question I do have is about the fog lights. The factory fogs under the front bumper don't have a switch to turn them on. Would the bulbs just be bad or is there something I'm missing?

Should be a switch if it came with them from factory. looks like the bottom half of this photo

There is no switch in it like that. Fogs are plugged I to the factory harness and look as if they have always been there.

Look on the stalk to the left of the steering wheel. That's where my switch is. It's just like the windshield wipers, just turn the stalk. :bigok:

Ya I checked that out in the owners manual, no switch on the stalk either.
