I had a 93 for 7 years, when I traded it in for the new 2004 it had 200,000 miles on it. in my opinion, the V6 3.0 L is not one of Toyotas best engines, but solid, just the same. I found it to be underpowered for the highway and towing, but in 4LO it would crawl just about anywhere I pointed it, and I have been in some pretty gnarly places. Sometimes I still miss my 93 4R though, because it was manual transmission.

I never modified anything on it, and it treated me well while I had it. Not sure what mods there are for the V6 3.0L to increase performance. The only turbo kits that I have heard of for the V6 were for the 3.4 L. Just the same I have not researched it much.

I'd suggest doing a search here on V6 3.0L engine, and see what come up.

Good luck!

Could't find any performance mods for the 3.0 or 3.SLOW.

Don't let this get you down too much however. There are a few things I really like about the 93s and 94s. The tailgate I really liked, and the rear side windwos curved at the top. These features disappeared in the 95s.

Just treat it well and it will treat you well. You can always trade up at a later time.;):

Welcome

you could put headers and cat back exhaust, CAI but for the $$ you would spend for the little HP gain it is not worth it like carina71 said it is a strong motor good for 200K+ but not the most powerful one Toyota built.

No turbo or supercharger.

just enjoy what you got it is a good truck that stock has good off road performance.
