Morimoto 2Stroke 2.0 LED Low Beam Headlight Install

Installed mine. Very straight forward project (you need the adaptors from these to work, just for any clarification)!
Not a life changing difference, but an absolute upgrade. They couldn't have been worse than stock...
Update: I have had these installed for a week and have some more night driving experience with these bulbs, so I wanted to leave a few more comments. They really proved their worth this weekend on wet/rainy urban roads with tons of glare. Glare so bad you can barely see the lane lines. I am certain I would've been miserable with the stock bulbs, going much slower than actually needed for just a wet road. The new bulbs lit up the roadways and provided a good experience in the inclement weather. Like I said earlier, these aren't life changing (life changing is a high end BMW/Audi/Mercedes headlight), but they double the output, so it's a noticeable upgrade. I personally believe that this amount of output should have been factory, because any less output is borderline dangerous (AKA stock). For the money, its probably the best bang for the buck headlight upgrade available and I would encourage anyone with $100 burning a hole in their pocket to jump on these. I also kept the stock headlight bulbs and stashed them away in my rear drawer system for backup, I don't want to be stranded without headlights. 10/10 would recommend!

Mine was shipped out last Monday, been "In Transit" since. Tracking also isn't providing a delivery date or anything, looks like it's probably lost and I'll have to call them again after having to deal with the backorder already.

I used these for my fogs and are a pretty close match to the headlights. For the money, they're well worth it. The difference is very noticeable.

Looks great! I have these as well and love how nice they work/look with the OE projectors.
Ordered mine on 11.01 and received them over the weekend (back-ordered), just installed them and now the low beam matches more or less the OEM LED fogs, much better IMHO.
As someone pointed out, these are not life-changing and I agree, they are not as significant an upgrade compared to throwing a set of JW Speaker on a JK, but then the JK's OEM halogens were crapped to start with, and I also paid over $700 for a pair of 8700's, so in the end, these Morimotos are definitely more palatable even though they are low beam only.
For a little over $100, these 2Strokes are well worth it, a much better use of $ than what I paid for the black valances, or the Pro grill garnish.
According to TRS/Mormimoto, there should be a solution soon for the combo Hi/DRL, can't wait.

Did they actually say that to you? I was looking at the xenon depot high beams but would like to keep it Morimoto of possible.

I just bought it from the Lightwerkz Ebay store for $89.76 so that’s $0.24 cheaper than the Lightwerkz website. :wof:
On two separate inquiries, the latest being:
"Thanks for your inquiry! The stock DRL unfortunately needs a special harness to operate as two separate modes (dim for DRL and bright for high). We don't currently have a solution for this but hope to next month (December). In the interim you can disable your DRLs if you did want to use the 2Strokes as high beams, however!"

Have any of you removed HIDS and gone with the Morimoto LEDs? Just wondering if it’s worth it. I like the output of my xenon depot kit, just not a fan of blinding everyone. Also planning on possibly adding the XB LED Fogs and kind of like things matching
