I was told last week that they were expecting a shipment on Monday (yesterday). As of this morning my order has not been updated from back-ordered.

I should be getting mine tomorrow. I was the one who helped Retro figure out it was back ordered. So they’re definitely back in stock.

They shipped me the just the converters in a small envelope [emoji1751]*[emoji3603] and that’s it. They didn’t even know before I called. Haha.

I emailed them to ask when they expect to be back in stock.....was told that they have shipments in now and they are working to get things unpacked and sorted....and that the bulbs should be sent out sometime this week.

Still haven't gotten any confirmation on mine. My original order was on the 29th, got the adapters the next day and called to get the order fixed on the 31st. I thought I emailed for another update, but I must have day dreamed that. I sent another email in just now. My account on their website shows back ordered still. I am not upset with them, just anxious to get the put in. These stock bulbs are horrible. My 4Runner came with the LED fogs, and I am ready for these. Time to do a yellow ting on the fogs when I get these in.

Thanks to the forums, I now have new headlight bulbs en route. Somehow my money disappears whenever I discover new threads. :crazy:

I always wanted to upgrade with the Xenon Depot HID's, but hated the fact that you had to drill a hole in the back cap and install all of the extra hardware. This seems like a nice middle ground in terms of price and installation. $108 shipped from The Retrofit Source using the coupon trsfb10 and no drilling in my headlight. Win win in my eyes!

I had mine for about 2 weeks now. They are definitely better and brighter than the stock ones. Got mine on ebay for $86 shipped.

I got mine in the mail today. Unfortunately it is 40 deg outside and pouring rain (no garage). I will get them in Friday most likely. If the plug coming on the light itself is 9006 than the adapter is needed and I was incorrect about that. Excited to try these out.

The bulbs arrived today....just installed them....took literally 5 minutes. First impression is that they have a very good beam pattern in these stock projectors.

Tomorrow I plan to install the Morimoto XB fogs that I pulled off the Tacoma before trading it in. Looking forward to having lights that actually light up the road!

I’ll also say that this was my first purchase from Retrofit Source. I emailed them with a question the other day and got a reply within minutes. Price was competitive. Shipping was fast. I give them an A+ based on this first transaction!

got them today and install was quick and simple. i previously had the

and so far, i cant tell much difference in brightness. the morimoto's are def a lot smaller and tucks away with ease. the jdm astar has total of 8 leds on 1 bulb vs 2stroke 6 leds total on a single bulb. so far, beam pattern seems to be the same. ill try to drive around and see if ill notice any difference in brightness and will report back.

So I just tried to install the LED's and couldn't figure out how to connect the light to the harness. Scratching the head moment. Then I noticed that the harness they sent me in the bags labeled at 9006 male / H11 female where actually H11 male / H11 female. D'OH. I tried calling TRS but they're closed. So it'll be another week till I get to try these out. The picture is kind of hard to see but the two bottom plugs are part of the harness and the top is off the bulb harness. Yep, no good.

I just installed the 2stroke 2.0 and I think this is one of my favorite mods so far. I do wonder if the new Supernova v4 is even better.

I think I'm going crazy here :shrug: For those that bought these, did they direct plug with the Toyota harness out of the box or was the adapter needed in order to connect them? I can't determine what piece is wrong.

Adapters are needed. At first it may look like the factory plug will plug right in, but the prongs inside are the incorrect width.

I think it’s common for these aftermarket brands to do this.....my xenon depot HID lights on my tacoma were the same way....required the same adapter.

Sounds like they sent the wrong adapter by mistake (the opposite of what’s required).

Ok so I'm an idiot. The harnesses work, they don't look like they would so I didn't want to force anything. The prongs seem to move to accommodate the H11. Here are some pics. First one is to see the color of them, matching my other fogs and light bar. The second one is just headlights. Then headlights and fogs, then headlights-fogs-light bar.
