Morimoto XSB switchback halos Wiring

Hello all,
I'm planning for a projector retrofit and I'm also going to install some Halo switchbacks in the Apollo 3 shrouds.
However, I'm not only unsure how to wire up the halos, but I also have yet to concluded who I WANT to wire them up.

Here's the deal: I've got a 2005 4runner, so it has the DRL/Signal in the front bumper, along with the fog lights. Since having the Runner, I've done J.A.'s lighting mod, so I can turn on/off the DRL or Fogs whenever I'd like.

So, for the Halos, I don't just want them wired to the DRLs because I may also want them on when my DRLs are off, but my fogs are on. Or what if I want the Halos on with the head lights? Should I not even bother having the halos on when the headlights are on?

Basically, wiring up the Halos to work with the signals shouldn't be a problem.
But, can I also wire them to be on when the DRLs or the Fogs are on (or the headlights)?

I almost feel like I should have a separate switch to turn on/off the halos as I please. But, I'd never have JUST the halos on, so they might as well be wired to power on with other lights. But which other lights. I'M SO INDECISIVE!

Thanks . . .

Made up my mind

Okay, I've made my decision on how I'd like these to work. But I'm still not sure on the wiring.

I'd like them to be on whenever the Fog lights are on or when the DRLs are on. Will I need a relay to achieve that?

Also, I checked my Runner and the Signal/DRL sockets only have 2 wires ran to them. Since they are fully lit as DRLs and shut off/on to signal, when I connect this to the Signal wire of the Switchback controller, will it know to not keep the Amber light on constantly and just flash the amber LEDs when it receives a flashing voltage?

i did this and if you want the amber the flash with the turn signals i believe you need a relay. If you are running white you should be good.
i run amber and i don't use the halos as turn signals but its still somewhat of an unfinished project.

After doing some further research and E-mailing Morimoto with this question, it seems tapping into the Rear signal lights is the best option, since it's only used for signaling and not a DRL.

Now the question is, where do I find the wire to tap?

So here I am again, months later and thinking about this wiring that I still have not done.

Here's the latest idea I've got.
I want to wire these halos just like the DRL mod from J.A. is done (Toyota 4Runner DRL Mod). The end result would be that I can 1) turn on the white of the halos whenever the car is on, 2) not have the halos on at all, or 3) have the halos come on when the DRLs come on.

I think I've got most of it figured out, but I'm not sure of the best place to get my +12v from. Should I use a Constant +12v for terminal 86 or 87 of the relay, or should I use an Ignition On +12v for them? Should one terminal be Constant and the other be Ignition On? Can I use the same +12v for both?

I'm still a newb at this and sometimes it seems that for every answer I get I have 2 more questions.

Here is my edited schematic from J.A.'s DRL wiring schematic:

I live in Canada so DRLs is a must here. On 4Runner DRL is also a turn signal which is a bonus as you don't need relays. I wired my Morimoto XSB 2.0 to amber on only when DRL or turn signal is activated (I did not liked white halo option since every car out there runs white halos, but my setup with amber halos turns heads). The way I did the wiring is just so simple. I didn't used any relays despite what everyone suggested on hidplanet. I also just tapped my yellow wire from halos driver to positive on front turn signal wire and black wire to negative (can't remember where I tapped this one). White wire I just capped. Done deal. But the way you want them is sounds too complicated. Good luck!

One suggestion, don't bother with white halos on when headlights on, you will not see them, not unless you a foot away from headlights.

I just installed my retrofits from SRQ Fabrications. They look great. Here's what I would like to do.

1.) Have orange halos come on in place oh head lights for DRL. And have orange halos on when the headlights are on.

2.) When I use turn signals have the orange halos blink.

Any ideas how I would wire this up?

what module is being used right now?
