Morimotos on Deck

Hey fellow Runners! I searched and the latest thread is from almost two years ago so I'm hoping to get some updated info/opinions on the latest iteration of Morimoto's headlights. Mine came in yesterday but I'm waiting for my day off tomorrow before even opening the box. I also have the Morimoto XB fog lights to go in at the same time. Really excited.

Attached is my "before" photo. I need to take a couple more with the headlights and fog lights on before getting started. I've had too many instances where I thought of the before/after photos after starting the project. :yell:

Anyway! Share your thoughts/opinions/photos of your Morimoto (or any other brand) aftermarket lighting setups and/or any experience with installation on either.

I’d do this:
2021 4Runner OEM LED Headlights/Lights Performance and Retrofit

Whatever you do, adjust them downwards if others flash their brights at you.

Wasn’t trying to be funny. I’ve been a part of another forum since ‘08 and it’s just how things have always been, be it with vehicles, phones, or any other enthusiast platform. The ones that are satisfied don’t typically seek a forum to express that; it’s the ones that are unhappy that seek this type of community. Sorry if I came across as disrespectful.

Anyway, I am loving the upgrade so far. I’ll be back with photos…

Gen 2’s exist for a reason.
I can tell you that I have had complaints/warranty/install issues with most items in my signature. Some I spent the most money with. This is the first post like this you’ll see from me complaining about the items I bought.

Your headlights look really nice.
I wish I had the same confidence, as I would like to have them on my vehicle also.

If you want a set of lights and don't want your lights going out, go with 2021 OEM Led headlights. They are FAR better than XB headlights. You might see comparison videos saying that XB headlights are slightly brighter than OEM, but that's not the case in real world driving. I do lot of back road driving. The OEM housing provides much better beam pattern than the XB headlights without blinding upcoming traffic. I cant tell you how many times I got flashed with Gen2 XB headlights. ( Yes I adjusted them 100 times!). I can tell you they CAN NEVER match Toyota OEM LED technologies. Yes they look amazing. I miss them already. If you do a deep search on other forums like ford 150s and Tacomas, you will see that they have problems with XB headlights. Please see below

And I sold the last forum I owned for seven figures back in 2011. That’s why it’s funny when you say I don’t know how they work.
