MORRFlate?

I haven’t personally but a buddy swears by it. There’s a group buy trying to get going over at TW that I’m in on.

I built my own 4-tire inflator/deflator based on a few YouTube videos that’s similar to the MORRflate. Whether or not you’re a DIYer, I think it’s slightly cheaper to purchase the MORRflate than to make it yourself.

A few comments:

1. I would say it’s a lot easier to use another device like Staun tire deflator and a pressure gauge to deflate. It’s a pain to setup and break down a tubed system like the MORRflate.

2. Using it to air-up 4 tires at once is a breeze with minimal setup time, though it can be tricky to recoil into a bag. I have a VIAIR 400p compressor and it helps not wasting time turning on and off the compressor to air up while moving air chuck. Also, I have a oil-filled gauge which measures accurately whether air is running through or not, since the oil dampens needle movement. I’m not sure what gauge the MORRflate uses (didn’t look up).

No experience yet but I bought the two tire version of it which should be delivered this week. I first ran into the product on the trail 4Runner website already linked in this thread. I went with the 2 tire version because hose management and storage will be far easier than the 4 tire version, although that comes at the cost of time, which I felt to be minimal. In regards to MORRflate vs Indeflate IMO it comes down to which gauge you want (analog permanently mounted to the manifold or digital that can be either mounted to the manifold or removable, depending how you order it) and which quick release chuck you want. I considered building my own as it's not really complicated but by the time you factor in shipping and taxes you might as well buy one of the pre-built ones unless you have someone that will sell you the components and exact lengths of hoses at or near cost, at least at the prices I found.

I make my own ... I make a 4 tire inflation kits for my friends

I have their 4 tire kit. Convenience is great because I can plug it in and let all 4 tires fill up. The air chucks are way better than the ones that came with my Viair 400P because it clips on/off extremely easy. It also helps with my OCD because it equalizes the pressure if you let it sit for a bit after turning off the compressor.

The only issue I ran into was the flexzilla hoses aren't made for heat. They are great for easily wrapping up and storing, but cant withstand high temperatures. The hose that attaches to the compressor burst on me. Luckily, I keep the original Viair hose as backup. The owner of Morrflate sent me a replacement that's supposed to be withstand more heat, but it doesn't wrap up as nicely due to the stiffness of the hose material.

Alright my 2 tire morrflate arrived. Here are my initial thoughts:

It uses I/M quick release fittings, not the T style that the rest of my system was built on but I have extra fitting lying around so no issue. Not a positive or negative, just something to consider if you plan your projects properly (the way I don't). Note that before starting on the compressor install at the beginning of this month I was not even aware that there were multiple types of fittings.

With the compressor mounted inside the engine bay, passenger side (MORE ARB mount) I definitely needed the 25' hose I have to have the morrflate reach the back tires. I am unsure if the 15' extension morrflate sells would be long enough. Each "arm" coming off the morrflate manifold is about 8' in length, or long enough (with some wiggle room) but you will NEED an extension if your compressor is not portable.

No leaks detected, but then again all I did was use it to take my tires from 31.5 PSI to 34 PSI.

Like Chilow above said these hoses are made to be flexible and light, heat resistant and tolerant of abuse not so much. I have several 18" braided steel hoses, an air/water separator, and a 1 gallon tank in line before the morrflate connects so I don't predict too many issues on this front for me.

Also arrived today was the hard case (Seahorse 300) that fits under the hood above the fuse box, in which I was hoping to fit both the morrflate and the 25' extension hose. This won't be happening. It'll fit the morrflate no problem, probably even the 4 tire version, but definitely won't fit the 25' 3/8th ID extension hose even without the morrflate. I might be able to squeeze a 25' 1/4 ID hose in with the morrflate, but I haven't bought one to find out yet.
