Mother's Day Ideas

I'm at a loss when it comes to getting Mother's Day gifts...my mom is the type of person who is never satisfied with whatever I get her, or do for her, on that day.

So, I was wondering...do any of you have some sort of idea of what I can get (or do) for a person who is impossible to please?

Might be pricey but how about a whole day at a spa. That is some pampering!

I'm assuming the candy, flowers, cards, dinner or gifts have already been considered and are the things that haven't satisfied her.

That's actually a great idea...but probably out of my price range. ;):

Plus, she has an esthetician's license so she already has her connections. :)

Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Not sure of your specific situation, but here's a thought from someone whose Mom is now gone.....give the gift of yourself and your time. She will remember the time you spend together much longer than the gifts you give or receive, and that will be the foundation for very special memories after she's gone.

So, what does she like to do? Is there somewhere you can go that would really be a special time? Doesn't necessarily need to be expensive -- just special for the two of you.

Or, is there something that needs to be done that she doesn't have time or talent to do, but you could do for her?

Of all the memories of my Mom, one of my favorites is the last meal I made for her. Something very simple to make, but she really enjoyed it because it came from the heart. And the fact that we were able to share that time with a couple of other special relatives made it extra special.

So be creative in your thinking.

Just a thought.....

How about a gold T4R.ORG sticker? :p

jharris2: Thanks for the suggestion. I'm currently considering just taking her out to lunch at the Hotel del Coronado...if she's not happy with "plain old" lunch, I'll quote you and tell her that it's the quality time that really matters. :)

LMAO...she drives a Solara, so the sticker wouldn't really be appropriate. :jester:

The big question for Mothers Day. Who gets the most of your time on that day, Your Mom or the Mother of your Kids?
