It depends what color you have though. Although Zaino's is probably the best product you can use for darker vehicles, I think Klasse comes close with other paint colors.

I have Galatic Grey Mica. I actually had a friend that used Zaino products back in 05 when I first heard of them. What makes them superior? Is it their low marketing costs, using word of mouth gain new customers?

Their products are much more expensive. You can get generic over-the-counter products like Mother's and Meguiars for a fraction of the cost. The first time you buy from them it'll cost you $80-$100 because you have to buy everything. Maintaining your supply after that is much cheaper though.

The reason I prefer Zaino's over Mother's is that Carnuba attracts dust as if you just stuck Elmer's glue on your paint.

Meguiars stuff is very well known to only last a matter of weeks. Zaino's lasts 7-9 months.

Also, the shine from Zaino's is something I had never seen before on a dark vehicle. You really notice it.

Another reason why I have no respect for Meguiars is because their owner has all of those commercials on their site. They go around to auto shows and restore 30 year old paint to brand new condition with "no effort involved". Obviously if you use that product, it doesn't work anywhere near as well, if at all. Fake marketing ploys bother me.

You're talking about Wax, right? If so Black Magic works better than Meguiars for me (lasts 6 monts and water still beeds even then, easy to apply because it's not as thick as Meguiars and easier to buff out for same reason). As for Wash Soap, Polish and Detailer Nothing beats Meguiares. Clay bars are lil on small size, where Mothers gives you 20 grams more for same price.

I've been using Meg's NXT for a while which was great. Then I started using this Insulator Wax It makes my 4Runner's paint soooooo shiny and wet looking. (see picture) Here is why it was created:

Hi eskimochaos, here is the link to the Insulator wax. I first found out about it on the autopia forum. Here is the link to the forum and user reviews. Another plus is it's very easy to wax on wax off.

btw, I'm not a sales rep for the wax or the vendor selling it.

I like some of the new synthetic waxes and mine did well over the winter with the Meguire's NXT wax.

Previously Meguiar's carnuba wax.

Currently, I've switched to Klasse All-in-One and Sealant Glaze. Used together, it can last up to 12 months. So far it's holding up well after three months with regular washing.

As HB mentioned, the expense of a polymer or acrylic based wax/sealant is well worth the extra costs compared to having to wax four times or more a year. I'm expecting to do an application twice a year, during spring and fall. I rather not deal with detailing when it's too hot outside or when it's cold and raining.

For my 4runner I use Mothers.

But I bought this product to do my other ride which is color black and its so hard to maintain shiny. It worked just fine. I had this ride very left out because of my 4runner.
So I decided to pamper this one today. These are cellphone pics so they aren't very clear..it actually look way better than the pictures.

I use a combination of Mothers, Meguiars and Menzerna.
I have already used mothers 3 stage system and it works pretty good for cars that that have good, not swirled or marred paint. However when it comes to a full detail, i've used menzerna power finish followed by Menzerna Final Finish. Then sealed with Meguiars #22 Paint Sealant. I have also heard amazing things about Wolgang 3.0 Paint Sealant but sadly i have yet to try it cuz i'm trying to finish my supplies before buying more lol
I have even topped the meguiars with some mothers pure carnauba and it gave the paint even more depth.

Ive voted, but not posted. I used to to use Zaino everything, but found over a few vehicles it just wasnt worth the premium. Im pretty anal about everything that concerns my vehicle, so waxing once a month no matter the conditions is no big deal to me. I am known to spray down my car after driving home in the rain after all. As such the perceived benefits of Zaino are not enjoyed by anyone other than Mr. Zaino's wallet. That said the Zaino products are very good quality, but just dont fit in to my car care regimen. I like the low price and wide availability of Meguiars products, and they are good enough (NXT 2.0 especially) to last a few months in winter when I am too drunk and lazy to wax the car.

I've tried most everything over the years and I like Zymol products the best. Personally using all natural products is important to me, if I look at the side of a sealant container and it is petroleum based I will not use it.

+1,000,000 for Menzerna. I like their FMJ (Full Molecular Jacket). It's a full synthetic sealant that will last months and is easy on, easy off. I would add this to you Menzerna line up.

Also if your looking for a SUPER slick finish try Blackfire Wet Diamond. I have been deatiling cars (side work, friends and family) for about 5 years now and this the slickest finish I have EVER felt. All of these can also be topped with a carnuba (after about a 12 hours cure time) for a warmer look to the reflection.

Make sure you wash and claybar before applying your wax or you can run a serious risk of adding more swirlmarks to your paint. Polishing will give you the best finish but is not necessary if you dont have the means.

The finished product is a direct relation to the process used to get there!

I'll defenitely look into that. I'm sure its great just like almost every other Menzerna product out there. I had just purchased my Meguiars synthetic sealand so maybe on my next order. I usually purchase all my supplies from Autogeek.net, cuz they have amazing customer service and very competitive prices (even though i am in Canada).
Besides Menzerna FMJ have you heard of Collnite Super Double Coat #476?
I had really wanted to purchase this as i heard it can last almost a year, and its a paste wax that acts like a sealant...Maybe i could top the meguiars with some of this stuff would be a heck of layer of protection especially with the winters we get up here in Montreal.

X2. I use it also. I live in the desert and it lasts a decently long time. I have had it sweat before but I may have put too much on. Doesn't create as much static as other waxes either. I'm also partial to the Meguiars Hi-tech yellow wax (#26). Klasse is good stuff but I prefer Menzerna for polishes. Another good product is Clearkote's red machine glaze. I've used that with a top coat of 845 and it is smooth as hell. Actually I did Menzerna final polish, clearkote, then 845. I have an 05 GG SE and it was incredible.
