So many times now I notice some car following me with a phone taking photos of how I carry a motorcycle with me when I travel.

I have the load equalizing hitch, which was factory installed. Now available from parts department for the same price as crappier aftermarket hitches.

To keep the 4Runner level I added the Ride Rite airbags. Actually, 4Wheel Parts did. They offered a 3 year warranty on the bags. Good idea as they work hard.

Blue Book value? Black Book is actually fairly accurate.

I've gotten incredible value out of the 4Runner, as with 300,000 miles of hard use over the 13 years, it is as reliable as my old Leatherman tool. Works great, thus no reason to get rid of it.

As for the little Ducati, it is value priced too.

Check back in another 5 years to see which I still am using.

What is the maximum tongue weight with the load equalizing hitch? I assume higher than the standard 500lbs? Or is the Ducati that light?

The 821 Ducati is just above 400 pounds, with low fuel.

The Moto Tote is less than 60 pounds with the ramp stored inside the car.

Whats the left side of that sticker say? I have a feeling that's the max tongue weight you should be going by. My understanding of weight distributing hitches is that the higher tongue weight coincides with using a trailer with a weight distributing system as well.

But if you are only at 460 lbs, it's a moot point.

730 tongue weight is plenty too. I need to look into one of those hitches for mine.
