Yikes! I've had a few close calls myself with animals in the road on my bike.. but what are the odds of a big rig coming at you too. Glad no one was killed. That guy at the end was dumb though..."who's dog is that!!!" I doubt the dog did it on purpose.... Speaking of the dog... hope it's okay.

For me, i just never understand the joy of riding motocycles. Just too vulnerable to injuries and accidents. You are so exposed to stupidity of other drivers...and in this case, road hazards/animals.

Not the dog's fault, but definitely the fault of the dog's owner. The dog should not have been allowed to run loose like that.

the guy on the sumo went down all on his own. poor judgment, lack of skill, experience whatever. that bike is more than capable of braking, and maneuvering to avoid the fallen biker ahead of him.

he panicked, grabbed a handful of front brake, while on the center line. the painted lines are very slick. oops.

glad he didn't get crushed. hopefully he learned from his mistake though.

Yeah I don't know that I really love street bikes, even with over 100k miles on them, so risky.

I absolutely love riding dual sport and enduro though.

Former road racer here now just a old fart dad, several bikes in garage. My turbo Busa does 0 to 150 in around 6.5 seconds as long as I have traction and can keep the front end down on pump gas street legal for a price of under 22K all in. Dragging a knee in a corner at speed is a rush. Cages are okay but bikes let you taste that copper taste of fear in your mouth.

Different strokes for different folks , some people drink coffee to wake up, some of us prefer adrenaline .
