Motorola Razor Contact with 08 Factory Nav

Well I did a search and I couldn't find much.

So I am trying to get my contacts to transfer from my Razor to the Navigation. I have the phone paired up and it can receive and send calls fine. However when I try to get contacts to transfer over the blutooth on the phone shuts off and the navi just sits there. This is the same info I found on my search so I was wondering if anyone got theirs to work, or had any suggestions.

I have a Garmin Zumo 550 for my Motorcycles and the Razor seems to work fine with it. I can see the contacts, etc all on the Zumo just fine.

Anyone have luck?

I won't be much help... but have you tried removing the pairing and then re-pairing it? Does your phone allow you to save contacts to sim card and/or the phone memory? Maybe you should try creating and saving a contact to the "other" option and see if the Nav will pick it up then.

Re pairing it didn't do anything, I tried that also.

I don't think there is a spot for a sim card, but I have contacts saved on the phone if that is what you are asking.

I don't understand the "other" option??

I can get a call on the phone in the truck from say my home. I can then save it in the truck as home. I just can't get my contacts I have in the phone to transfer over. Once I try the bluetooth shuts down almost like the phone is keeping a virus from getting into it. Then once I exit out, the phone will work normal again and the bluetooth will turn back on. It is weird!

Just so you know... I'm just taking wild stabs. This is a long shot but since you're not getting much advice I figured I'd throw in my $.02

Anyways... what I was trying to say. Some carriers use a sim card. If your carrier is like that (I think ATT and TMobile are) then conceivably you can save data (or in your case, contacts) to the phone memory or the sim card memory. To the phone it doesn't matter but maybe it does matter to your Nav unit. That's why I was saying to try to transfer your contacts from the sim card memory to the phone memory (or vice versa) and then see if your Nav can pick it up then (when the data is on the "other" option)

Or like in my last post... if your contacts are stored on your sim card try creating a contact and store that on your phone memory (not your sim card) and see if the Nav picks it up.

Of course none of this matters if you don't have a sim card but I figured I'd try to help.

I think only Blackberry's and one other Sprint phone are capable of transferring contacts to the older navs. I have never been able to transfer contacts to any Toyota/Lexus nav before 2010. On the current 2010 system, you can transfer contacts from all phones.
