Mounting Locations For Garmin Navi In The 4th Gen

Placed my same area as lowpro also. Double side tape on disk and suctioned on. Works great there.

Question. I have mine located where lowpro, but on the lower portion of the trim. The freakin thing keeps falling down. I'm trying to think of ways to reinforce the suction cup, but don't want to get that procup thing. I was wondering if anybody has used and taken off the little disc that comes with the units? I want to use it, but am afraid of the residue that the disc may leave when/if I take it off. Man, sometimes that glue stuff like changes the chemical composition of things and you can NEVER get off all the sticky.

I replaced my sunglass holder with one....

Did you remove the whole console to do this ? if so, How the heck do you get that thing out of there ? Ive seen somewhere that it just pops off, but Im affraid that Im going to break it..
Whats the trick to get this off ?
I want to see about mounting a small CB up there.

Just pull down on the front of it towards your mirror and then when it pops down just pull outward....I've done it many times no problem....don't be affraid it comes out no problem.....

Garmin Nuvi

I would think the higher up it is the easier it would be to see.

Thats the problem I have with my in-dash tom-tom - standard on Trail Edition/Urban Runner. Even after two months, it's just too hard to take a quick glance. I'm considering mounting a Nuvi using a Pro-Clip on the driver's side center vent, and using the in-dash mostly for the audio functions. for which its very good.

Just pull down on the front of it towards your mirror and then when it pops down just pull outward....I've done it many times no problem....don't be affraid it comes out no problem.....

man I tried pulling that thing stright down, thought it was going to break.. I did finally get it out, I think one of my clips is deformed, and one is missing.

thats exactly what I thought, couldnt find it, even got the magnet out lol but its got to be somewhere, lol
