Does anyone know any calculators that let you type in how fast you are going to see what kind of mpg you get?

I'd like to know the difference in mpg when doing 70, 65, 60, 55mph on the highway, on a stock 4rnnr.:awais:

I beleive that the standard mpg that is stuck on the window sticker for each and every car is a basis of that vehicle traveling at 55. Above that supposedly you loose more MPG ecspecially over 60 it drops. I just remember reading this through several forums and write ups.

You won't find any calculator because all vehicles are different. Different engines rev different at different speeds and what not.

Very poorly worded question. Are you asking about a ScanGaugeII? It monitors your system and gives you various data, including MPG.

You can calculate your MPG's yourself very easily (I mean 1st grade easy). Fill your tank. Reset the trip odo to zero. Then try to go at a consistent speed and terrain for at least half tank (good rule of thumb). Fill up again. Look at how many miles you travelled. Divide the miles by gallons you just filled up. That's your MPG. You can do your own experiment with the different MPH's. Class dismissed.

You can also run it to basically empty, add half a tank and note how many gallons you added, set trip odometer to zero and then drive it to basically empty.Then just divide gallons to miles. I did this last week and my MPG average was 21. I never went above 65, used cruise control quite a bit and just took it easy.

You are correct. For every 5 mph you go over 60 mph, it's like you are paying an extra 20 cents for gas.
