MPG gauge on 2004 4runner?

Is it an optional thing? Sorry but all that I can see on my truck is this "two trip meter" other than odometer. Feeling dumb here...

There is a button next to the reset button that cycles through the available functions. Just keep pushing it until you get a the MPG calculation.

its on the center dash control. where it shows the temp or your digital temperature.

Yep, exactly 2.5 for me on every tank.

Thx found it and reset it. By hand calculation the last tank only got 11.9 MPG. Mostly city short trips with lots of stops and goes in new York city. Still a bit low though. Just did annual inspection with no problem and changed engine oil and filter. Will see next tank with perhaps summer blend.

I think everyone looking at what they consider poor mpg's should look up what the EPA estimates are for their model. We know these estimates are always high as they're new trucks running in prime condition under controlled conditions.

Here's what it shows for mine but I have bigger tires, bumpers, lift, etc which all take a hit. If you expected great mileage you may want to look at a Prius. :redbrick:
