Just got my 96 runner 4x4 limited with E-locker. 1st time owning a 4x4 so I'm new to all this stuff and I'm learning as I go. I've always been into off roading and I love toyotas. So I finally got a good reliable rig. Any advice and suggestions would be appreciated.

So far I have lifted the rear with LC coils extended brake lines.

The front I just did a spacer and a diff drop.

Running 285/75/16 Bfgoodrich A/T


I still need to extent the panhart bar and upgrade to bilsteins in the rear. In the front want coilovers with UCA with uniballs.

And of course ARB style bumpers with spare tire carrier.

Had some extra time this weekend and did the deck plate mod and ISR mod. I've read all the controversy between doing it and not doing it. Even if it doesn't do much if a difference performance wise. I love the sound.





When I removed the intake I noticed the rubber was cracked and ripped which explains the tape. Ill be getting a new one hopefully next week.

Yeah it was really close to the UCA I never drove it like that. I have the spacers from the previous wheels that were on there so I just left them on. I was gonna get wheels to not have to run spacers but I like the look of how it is now.

Thanks. They were actually 22s lol. That was the 1st thing i removed when i got the truck. I'm doing the next one right now. I'm doing some gargoyle storage drawers. Ill post some pics of my progress in a bit.
 
Next project I have been wanting to do has been the cargo storage drawers. This is what I have so far.







Hopefully I can finish it tomorrow or Sunday. Depending on what the weekend brings my way.

Almost done with this lil project. Just finished covering the wood. This should be the last rest fit. And should be in for good tomorrow.





 
I like your drawer set up with some storage behind the drawers. I'm assuming there is a hing on it? Looks like it would also make a great sleeping platform if you made something to go over the rear seats when they are folded down.

I plan on building something similar once we get done remodeling our house.

I decided to go without hinges just have it drop in place. Before I just had stuff all over the back. And I hated it. But not anymore. Ha ha
 
I love the steelies man. I'm pretty sure I'll go that way if the wife lets me, otherwise I might end up with another T4R in a few years and I'm def. going that way. I don't want it to look "nice" I want it to look functional, mean, etc. so no fancy wheels for me, though black painted OEMs do look nice.

I wonder, is there any weight savings with the steelies over the OEM split-spokes that I have on my 02?

Thanks man. Yeah that's what I'm debating to. Everyone tells me they like the "rugged" look it has. I'm still debating on going with the method wheels in all black also. Well see which side I decide on going with. But the steelies are about the same or heavier.
