MT/WY/SD Camping/Hiking/Kayaking Ideas

Hey guys,

This summer I will be driving out from NY by myself. My husband will fly into Billings and we will spend 2 weeks floating rivers in MT, then he will fly home from Billings.

I have never been to this area of the country and on the way out I want to hit the Badlands but I would like to see different scenery on the way home.

I prefer lonely places and don't want to hang out in cities or busy parks. National Parks are not my thing, but I'm trying to get over that to see the Badlands.

Do any of you have any ideas for must-do hiking, kayaking, or camping?

I want to drive southeast from Billings and will eventually need to take I-90 on the trek home. I reckon I'll have 3-4 days in the area...

cody wyo is a cool little spot. though lots of tourists during the summer. outside of yellowstone and away from some of all that. beautiful area
a bit farther away in and above lander is the wind rivers. sinks canyon is amazing.
