And the vehicle acquisition quest continues! I found a guy with a 85 and 84 4runner yesterday that had them sitting behind his barn. I asked him what he wanted for the 85 and he said he could do $1K for both :smokin: and he said when ever I had the money he would hold them for me! Soooooo I know where my tax return will be going this spring neither run or are in excellent shape, but basically scrap value for the 2 I can't pass it up.

Are the frames in good shape? I still have 2 85' 4Runners and lots of spare parts. When I get the money and time to swap over my stuff I will have a solid frame available.

That's actually what made the decision easier...

My Tacoma sucks in the snow, literally terrifying. It's so ass light combined with 13.5 inch wide pitbulls and a square front driveshaft that it becomes a white knuckle experience in a hurry. My DD had to be snow friendly so FWD it was...a decent WRX or STi was out of the price range.

Just giving you some crap. My Buddy rolls a speed 3 at 350whp. On dry pavement it feels like snow. Thing spins so easily with the limited low boost removed from lower gears. So hard to get a good 60' time.

Same things with my buddies and their turbo cobalts, it is the 60-100 rolls where they shine. At that point they are corvette killers.

We used to run em 60-140. All the turbo nitrous mustang's Honda's and camaros would only run them that way. To scared of the DIG. There a 2g 700whp nitrous auto talon here called Digness. On slicks it's nasty.

The back of the 4Runner has been sitting lower than the front ever since I installed the rear bumper and I fixed this yesterday. I had 890's in the rear before and they are not enough if you have a rear bumper +150lbs in the rear (which is >1 person...) So I jumped up the OME 861's and I am am very happy with them! There is just a tiny bit of rake right now, which should settle out flat. I wish they had been just a little taller though be cause I do like the rake for when I am towing...
