Hopefully someone can help. Looking at Mud Flaps for Limited 2015 to cover the Wheel Well similar to SR5 Mud Flaps. The OEM Parts Dept has Mud Flap the only go up 1 screw vs 3 (SR5) and do not overlap into the Wheel Well, more for looks then function. Or can I order the Trim piece for the Rear and put in the front? Thanks in advance

Hi 2NDT4R,

The 'stock Toyota' mudguards have three mounting holes and are molded to fit the 4Runner from 2010 to 2015. Here's a link: Genuine 2010 2014 Toyota 4Runner Mudguard Front and Rear Mudflaps Accessory | eBay Rgds

I see that this mudguard thread has resurfaced...

Sometime last winter in a deep snow fall, I went out to rescue another vehicle (a Coupe Deville) with a bad alternator and resulting dead battery. The 'Caddy' was nosed into a snow covered medium at a local mall, and so I needed to cross a snowbank to get to it's battery side. When I did that I twisted an OEM mudguard, causing the diy silver paint to peel.

...long story short, I ended up removing & refinishing all four mudguards and then reinstalling them, now for the second time! I remember taking some pics of the process but never did post any of them; likely because I didn't think there would be a benefit to this... guess I was wrong! "Here are the oem mudguards removed from the truck, it may make it easier to understand just how they're mounted:

BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR MUDGUARDS ARE SECURED BY THREE SCREWS "which come with the kit"

EYELET FLANGE 'for push-in rivet'

There's a plastic 'Push-in rivet' (7mm hole/20mm head) that goes in the mudguard's 'eyelet-flanges' (as marked by the RED ARROW above) on both the front and rear sets.

ALL DONE! "They should all fit tightly against the fender flare and liner!"

cheers!

I just installed a set on a '16 LE
I put on the OEM splash guards and was surprised there was no mention about the vehicle's that have Electric running boards. The boards actually need to be removed and slid back 1" It was easy enough to do but a Little FYI if anyone is thinking about installing them. The only thing that made me cringe a little was having to drill a hole in my new vehicle.

I bought the Husky mud flaps. No holes drilled but of course needed to re adjust slide the automatic running boards back about 1 1/2 inches.

Since I can no longer find the oem mudguards that I purchased only a couple yrs ago, please disregard my last post. If I run across them I'll post the link, thanks again flatspin! Best!

Just an FYI for anybody searching. The oem flaps fit the 2014 with automatic running boards and 275 ko2s. The boards are just loosened and moved back an inch or so.
