Found a Canadian 2011 limited and snapped some pics of the mudguards, these are the part numbers they gave me (though they contradict previous US part numbers) maybe someone in the US could recheck these part numbers...

2011 OEM Canadian 4runner limited mudguards

Great pictures! Seeing those Canadian Limited running boards really makes me want them (but still can't get over the $800 price tag!!). Any word on a group buy for the mud flaps? If so, definitely count me in! :hungry:

Checked these part numbers on the US OEM lookup and they are not the same part as the Canadian one but they use the same number. :smashputer:

So what is this "Lip" that people are talking about when it comes to the Husky version? What is better about the Canadaian version compared to aftermarket huskys?

The only reason why I was hesitant about buying the husky mud flaps was due to the possible fitment issue with my running boards. I guess other people installed it no problem. I asked another memeber with them, but he had a different version of the running boards.

To the people who installed them with running boards, are your running boards like these TOYOTA 2010 4RUNNER RUNNING BOARDS - eBay (item 150528809320 end time Jan-02-11 12:40:38 PST) (By the way, I was foolish and paid $500 for these from the dealer... Stupid I know. :ybrick:

Ct22 said he installed husky mud guards without cutting his running boards. If you look at his pictures in other threads, his running boards are not oem factory option for $599. I'm curious to see if Canadian oem mud guards will fit with us oem running boards. In the mean time I clear braed my side panels and rear fenders plus my running boards should block some dirt as well.

I am curious too as I'd rather not have to remove and cut down my factory running boards. Any updates?

I installed mine the other day. The factory running boards do get in the way, no doubt about it. I drilled a couple of holes in the front mud guards so that I could get my jig saw in them. I cut a circle about the size of a softball and they fit just fine. You can't even tell. looks professional, just protects the lower side of the vehicles just as good as any other guards. Check this out.

Sorry they're so dirty, I'm putting them to use!

If you are worried about cutting (I got lucky by winging it), I suppose you can rub chalk over the front of your running boards, place the guards in place to see where they are hitting and cut that out. I actually started out with a small cut and made about 2-3 additional cuts to get the correct fit. If you start out with a big circle cut you may regret it. Little by little and you can make this fool proof

So I went to my local Toyota dealer here in Canada and Showed Dave the parts guy these posted part numbers for the 2011 LE mud guards. He referenced a schematic and it appeared to look correct. When the mad guards came in the next day they were actually inner fender pieces and not mud guards at all like the ones the 2011 LE comes stock with. Turns out these elusive Toyota 4Runner mud guards are not a factory installed item and are installed at the port where the 4Runners land (close to my house). The Toyota parts guys called the port and was able to get the part number for the mats and I should have them tomorrow sometime. I hope this info helps. I got them from Open Road Toyota Richmond BC in case you want to know.

Excellent work, I suspected this was the case, but the two separate parts people I dealt with insisted these were the numbers as the parts fiche diagram show, I even got into an argument with one of them telling them that this a port installed item.

Do post up the part numbers when you get them. I'd go to Richmond as well... can't reward incompetence

I have the OEM running boards installed by dealer. I have the front wheel Husky mud guard installed without cutting the OEM running boards.

LUV2EAT has the same husky mud guards installed with OEM running boards without cutting as well.

The Husky mud guards (all 4) costs about $60 in total from SVCustoms.

Sorry I am a bit late with this thread, but CT, Your running boards, at least the end caps, seem quite different then my running boards did or the boards which others are having trouble with when installing the Husky mud guards. Look at your photo, and those of "KevinG" in His post on another Thread.

"Husky makes a pretty nice set that don't require drilling. I have them for the winter weather and the only "complaint" I have is that they stick out on the sides, but provide excellent protection...check out post #135 as they are what I have. I don't have running boards but its just a little too dark to take a picture."

Just a thought, the running boards "slide" back and forth on the lower bracket mount until you tighten the bolts. I am wondering if there is enough room to loosen the bolt's, slide the board back about an inch, then install the Husky mud guards? I do not have the guards and have sold my running boards, but maybe a brave soul out there would like to give it a try and see?

I'm removing my running boards so that shouldn't be a problem anyway. Are you saying that the US 4R doesn't have the same holes as the Canadian version in the wheel wells to mount the flaps? If this is the case and I have to drill anyway then I may stick with the after market flaps. They are a bit longer, offering better protection.

I would still like to see pics of them installed from further back though.

I have the same running boards you mention ( Southeast Toyota) and I have a 2010 SR5 with Husky Mud flaps. The flaps will fit with the running boards however the front flaps will bend a little forward where they hit the running boards. If your OK with that fine but I decided to cut my running boards for a nicer fit. It was no problem to cut,I just removed the boards then removed 1 end cap from each running board and used a hand held jig saw to remove about 1.500" off the end (It's aluminum and cuts very easy) of each board,then put the 2 caps back on and reinstalled.
Worth the effort to me!
