Muffler Mistake

RE: gas tank hitting. I think you are just seeing that in the picture angle. They do not appear to be touching when I looked under the vehicle. They are about 2-4 inches apart and I don't see why they would touch even when flexing unless I am not understanding your comment.

Got a vid of the sound?

Also the U-joint will hit with the drivers tire stuffed, the evidence of torn metal on the skid doesn't lie. I fixed mine with a BFH.

In both these videos I am running a flowmaster w/ Tundra resonance silencer & stock CAT. IMO the Tundra part does nothing to change the sound when you are wheeling, its main purpose is to eliminate highway "drone"

I don't know what flowmaster model; it was the one recommended to me by the shop. I believe I still have the stock CAT.

Too bad, the model makes all the difference. I might just go with the cheap-O Thrush Turbo. It sounded really good on my little 91' 22RE.

when made the purchase a few years ago, I talked with two shops about this "Off Road Warehouse" and "The Truck Shop" in San Diego. They both said the same thing: there is really only one flowmaster that they would recommend for the V6 4Runner. So I think if you call around you will find it pretty easily. I know there are "lots" of options, but how many of them are "good options"?

You could also just contact FlowMaster directly and ask them.
