What?! That looks like it was filmed with a toothbrush?! Apparent ABC EXCLUSIVELY got that footage by sitting in the station and recording a screen with a early 90's flip phone. He already had medical treatment. The broken nose is clearly a stretch but if he was still bleeding, he would have been taken to the hospital, not the station.

Seems like a pretty important piece of the puzzle to me - wouldn't you agree? How can you claim it was an unlawful killing if you have no idea the extent of the damage to Martin's body beyond the gunshot wound? You're missing a critical piece of the puzzle at best just like you had little understanding of Florida's law structure earlier.



We know from eye witness accounts (corroborating Zimmerman's statement) that Martin was straddling Zimmerman, pounding his head into the ground prior to being fatally shot. He was screaming for help - as corroborated by at least one witness. How can you possibly construe that as killing in cold blood?

You may disagree with the laws and how they are interpreted, but you can't cry foul with their application in one singular instance, ignoring the rest of the similar cases across the country.

Take a look at the video. Does it look like Zimmerman has the trauma on his head that would be associated with a serious, life threatening beat down? When I broke my nose my face was swollen and I had a black eye within 30 minutes. It hurt so bad that I could barely stand it...doesn't look like Z is in too much pain.
If Z is lying about the degree of damage that Trayvon was dealing him, what else is he lying about?

So, the witnesses are wrong/lying also? While it is plausible the nose wasn't as bad as originally though (remember, the media isn't known at all for embellishment), there were witnesses that corroborated Zimmermans side of the story who said they saw the struggle, or at least parts of it. As far as blood and whatever, did you notice the one cop on the left of the screen look at his hands after touching Zimmerman, as if to check for blood, etc? Maybe Im reaching here, but he already received medical treatment at the scene. How many mug shots do you see where someone is covered in blood? I can't think of any, but then again, I'm in no position to regularly see mugshots.

Yes it is. Why are you so closed minded? Ive read extensively, but haven't seen conflicting eye witness accounts where anyone disputed Martin was straddling Zimmerman and pounding his head. Martins own father acknowledged it wasn't his son screaming for help. Who was it then, an unknown shooter on that grassy knoll?

all i see is the side of his head. the video looks like someone with a motorola razr shot it.

i listened to the 911 call too... maybe it is my hearing... but i had a difficult time hearing what the shouting was, hell, even the woman calling in was unsure of what was going on.

Ya, like I said, its not the greatest footage. But you would expect someone who was getting their head smashed in to the concrete repeatedly to have redness, scrapes, cuts, etc...
And I'm wth you, I couldn't tell what was what. None of us were there, so all we know is we're given by the media. We can only make our own assumptions.

When that meme style picture says it's a "mugshot style photo" it's because it is a mugshot from one of three times when Zimmerman was previously arrested.

We're all playing armchair quarterbacks (prosecutor) here. He will get his day in court and justice will be served in one way or another.

Are you kidding? What are you, a logical thinker? C'mon man. The media, Martins family, Big Al, and Jesse Jackson have told us Zimmerman is guilty. Thats all some in this thread need to start throwing the legal books at Zimmerman. Forget due process, innocent until proven guilty, states burdeon, etc.

I've tried to stay out of this thread, but I am so sick of seeing it. Guilty, innocent, at this point, I don't even care just close the thread and let it die off.

I'd much rather people go back to debates about which generation 4Runner is the best. At least then people are talking about a subject matter they are familiar with instead of trying to play lawyer based on episodes of CSI or Law & Order they've watched.

None of us know the TRUTH, so why even bother. The fact is (as the Joker so perfectly put it) Nobody panics when things go "according to plan." Even if the plan is horrifying! If, tomorrow, I tell the press that, like, a gang banger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it's all "part of the plan." But when I say that one little old mayor will die, well then everyone loses their minds!.

Only 12 people get to be on that jury and it won't be any of us, so why doesn't everyone just forget about it and move on with their life until the next "tragedy" happens and you can all jump on that band wagon too!
