Is anyone outraged by this? If you haven't heard, here is an excerpt from Democracy Now! about the what transpired when an innocent kid walking home was gunned down by the neighborhood wannabe cop.

Regardless of what the kid did to him, he was the first aggressor as the 911 tapes show. Second, the fat ass Zimmerman isn't a cop so he shouldn't have gone up to him at all.

If I was walking home and some random dude came up and tried to accost me, I would fight back as well.

Apparently, Florida has a stand your ground law regarding fights, which the NRA pushed for, however I don't think that means you can start a fight knowing you have a gun and plan on using it. Especially a fight you would have lost. Using that same argument, I should be allowed to go outside tonight and walk up to the biggest mofo I can find and start a fight with him and then shoot him.

Shouldn't this guy me charged with second degree murder? Or am I missing something?

It was so bad that the cops showed up and then turned and ran. You guessed it, IL is the only state now without some kind of concealed carry law. And the cops were nowhere to be seen. Just how safe are we and why are we paying taxes to a system that can't protect us? We need more people like George Zimmerman. Guns level the playing field so that big thugs don't have an obvious advantage over a small woman or man for that matter. I love to hear stories on the news when an 80 year old woman perforates some youth breaking into her home. It warms my heart that some people are still willing to fight for their life. Conversely, it sickens me to hear the 911 tapes of some single mother cowering behind her bed as some monster attacks and rapes and ultimately kills her. It sickens me! Sorry brotha's FL still has "Stand your Ground" law which unless that was changed before he off'd Skittle-boy, George will walk. When it comes out that Skittle-boy circled around and jumped George and started beating the daylights out of George who then feared for his life as Skittle-boy said "You're going to die tonight". this whole thing will just fizzle.

While Florida is literally the dong of the country, I'm not convinced, based on what we know, that 2nd degree murder would stick in any state outside of Illinois, California, etc. Manslaughter seems to have the best shot, but Drcoffee may be right in that the castle doctrine may very well come into play given witness statements.
