That damage was not from a "tree". It went into the back of something large. Probably a 30mph hit. Everything squishy took the impact, that's why it looks so severe. They're lucky the bags didn't deploy.
As said above, not worth anything near $2000. They have a parts vehicle on their hands now. Or some sucker will come along and think its a steal.
