My 05 is Fighting me

I'm not sure if this is just a common problem that happens with every suv/car/truck, but when I drive on the high-way, my 4runner seems to push itself back and forth (i thought wind) But it still seemed to do it when it didn't appear to be windy. On rural roads it does this too. Highway speed was about 65-75 2000rpm and if i went any faster it would at times push back and forth and slow acceleration bad. Neighborhood roads the only problem is the steering wheel always turns to the left..slowly.. I'm running stock. Any help as to why this is happening would be great! 98400 miles 05 v8 sr5 Thanks!

I don't know why its happening. It could be that your tires have worn unevenly, or your suspension is out of whack. I would take it somewhere and have the alignment checked and maybe have your tires rotated.

During the alignment they will also check steering mechanisms and suspension components in general for wear or replacement if needed.

Assuming your alignment is fine AND you don't have any shifted belts, you may be experiencing tramlining. Have you increased tire width from the stock size? Even stock, the T4R's will tramline on truck-worn roads, even if the ruts aren't noticeable to the eye.

you could have a broken sway bar link or 2...but id start off with checkin your tires first and proceed from there.

+1 on the tires. Id def. take it somewhere OTHER THAN a place like a discount tire store that "also does alighnments"...someplace that has professionals and decent equipment.

Are you wearing the stock Dunlops too?

No. Not home right now but I'm almost Posative they are some type of General tires. Sounds good I'll have it looked at!
