My '05 Limited with Yakima Hookup & Bike

Here are some pics of my 2005 Limited with my Giant Yukon loaded on and ready to hit the Southern Kettle trails in S.E. Wisconsin. Only things I have done to the 4R so far is put on the Valor exhaust tip, add a front license plate bracket, and a U-Wisc. hitch cover (not pictured because the rack is loaded).

I have been wanting to upgrade my bike but having just bought the rack this year (which I love), and now with a baby on the way, I will have to wait another season or two. It gets me by though and I would be sad to loose her since we have been to battle together.

That is a great looking truck and bike rack! An 05 silver Limited is my personal favorite but I am not biased. ;):

I can see you like titanium from your signature. Two in a row, nice. :D My last car was black and I was sick of washing every couple of days or it looking like crap, especially with the salt in the winter. Now with the silver, it looks good and it hides dirt very well.

How can you tell? :D I was going to try out black but everybody told me to stay away. I figured I was happy with silver the first time so why change.

Same here. I was going to get black, but seeing the swirls my buddy had on his three black cars, it was more trouble than it's worth. This is my third silver Toyota. I guess I'm in the majority and not so unique (uneek). ;):

Titanium is a stunning color. Last week when getting my truck in the lot under the sud and it staying clean for the last two weeks, the shinny metallic flakes just made me :D.

I attended a conference in Madison last year and liked the older neighbourhoods, which resemble your area. I even went to the O of W campus and purchased a Badgers t-shirt. I saw a few red Runners, a colour we don't get in Canada.

Nice setup by the way!

Naw, I do want something sprung (don't know HT or full yet) but like I said it will have to wait a while. When I bought it I was a poor college student and wanted it mainly for getting around campus and commuting to my intership. So I skipped the suspension and got the best components I could afford at the time. Have done a few component upgrades since then. Maybe when I get a new bike I'll keep this one and convert it to a single speed just for fun. It's hard to let the old stuff go.

BTW, I debated long and hard about getting a roof rack, but the tray hitch racks are just to easy to use. Don't have to worry about shearing the bike off on the garage or drive through either.

Madison is a fun town and a nice place to live for the most part. I'm in Milwaukee, but some of the neighborhoods are quite similar with the older houses and big trees.

Oh, btw since you have the Badger shirt, you can wear it now and say you got if for the Double (men's and women's) National Hockey Champs. I know that sport is near and dear to Canadian's hearts. Probably not so much NCAA hockey, but you can make the claim anyway.
 
I second the Hookup

I agree the Hookup is a great bike rack. Great setup... nice Giant Yukon, looks like a mid to late 90's model with newer pedals and saddle. My message to most people, "I don't care what you ride as long as you get out there and RIDE!!!" All things being equal... on single track... I'd stick with the HT

He has that "old school bike" on a rack and is going out riding! I know too many mountain biking posers with $3000 bikes and they rarely ride all year.
 
Hey I'm still riding my Trek 1990 single track with front Rock shock on it. I'm not a hard core though either. Usually trail's along the river in Meno.River Parkway.

Wife don't ride so I pop off the front wheel and throw it in the back of the runner. Work's for me .

Someday , new bike and rack,but not on the priority list. Need a Corvette first.:D and I'm an old fart.

Nice to see a fellow Wisconsin guy here.

Plus it is fun to pass those $3000 rigs on the trail with my old school bike. If I get passed by them (which doesn't happen often) I just think that since their bike cost 10 times as much they should be able ride 10 times as fast right?

RevoRunner, good spot on the bike. It is a '98 Yukon with a WTB saddle, Shimano pedals, Coda bar ends, and Shimano chain. What do you ride?
