Yeah that helps a ton... what about offset and things of that nature... bolt pattern etc. Im thinking of getting the 5 spoke ones and since I know you already have everything perfect, I really appreciate any help. Thanks again.

The wheels are 22x9.5 with a 6 on 5.5. bolt pattern, 14m.m. offset, and a 5.761 backspacing. The 5 spoke only come in a 5 lug bolt pattern so they will not work on our trucks, I already looked into that.

I am getting an extremely light rub on the inside of the left fenderwell mudflap at full turn. It's almost not enough to do anything about but I am going to trim it out a little so it won't continue to happen. I'm not sure why it hasn't happend on the right side though. If your looking into doing a similar setup to mine don't let this change your mind at all. It's so minimal that most wouldn't ever do anything about it. I am just extremely anal and wan't to fix it. Once I get some free time to do it I will post some pics of it. It's no more then a 15-20 minute job and nobody will ever see the trimming I'm going to do.

George I appreciate the input. I am looking into doing a similar setup, but I only have 10,000 miles on the factory tires right now. Ill probably wait until I need new tires and then do it. Thanks for your help.

Congratulations! You are the only second 4runner with 22s that everyone seems to agree looks incredible. The other one had some crazy expensive two piece rims that were about 4 times as much money. Nice work and I'd run out and copy you if I had the money. Again, beautiful choice.

Thanks I really do appreciate it. I believe the other truck you mentioned is the black one with the HRE's right? I actually considered putting on a set of Asanti wheels but I just couldn't justify sepnding $4500 on a set of wheels for this truck. I'm amazed so far at how many compliments the truck gets from people. There's a wide range of people who compliment it and I would of never guessed they would have any interest in a truck like mine. It's mostly the middle aged people who shock me the most. Feels great to know they like it, but I really did all of this to please myself. I'm far from an attention whore unlike alot of other guys I see around my way.

I missed this thread earlier. For whatever reason, I think it is difficult to get the right look with wheels and tires for the 4Runner.

Well since the thread

Was brought back to life,

How much did that setup run you, around 3 g's? We're getting a Silver 06 and its now a new law in Germany that you have snow tires, so my stock rims will be the designated snows/all seasons. And I'm looking for some summers for the high mile trips.

The entire setup cost me around $2100. The truck actually rides fantastic with the 22's. I have had friends say to me "I bet you it rides crappy now" and I proceed to take them for a spin only to be amazed how good the ride quality is. If you like the look of 22's you will not be dissapointed with this setup in any way. The ride quality overall is hardly noticeable compared to stock, but it does handle the corners a million times better.

If you decide to go with my exact tire/wheel setup just be advised that the tire will rub very slightly if you try to whip into a parking spot at a higher then normal speed. The tire will just barely rub on the inside of the mud flap. It's so minimal in my case I am not even concerned with it now. You can however trim out the backside of the mudflap if you would like to. I would predict about 15 minutes worth of work to complete that. I am also looking into getting a set of brake pads that produce less brake dust. As you might guess it takes a little more force to stop these bigger wheels thus producing a greater amount of brake dust. Since I am a clean freak I want a set of pads that will reduce the dust a bit. It's not horrible at all, just a bit more then usual.

I know this thread is very old but I have essentially the same truck and am considering a setup something like this. It's a 2WD so I'm not looking to go the off-road look, just a clean, classy, good looking truck.

Any opinions?
