Ok ... so ... car starts but runs rough at startup WHEN it starts up. We have to use carb cleaner to get it started.
I know the blue sensor is a vacuum line for the 'choke' but I've also been reading that the injectors can sometimes get clogged and need replacement?
Once it's on, it runs fine but it's a PAIN to get started even if it hasn't been sitting that long. That, or the timing is slightly off? What do you all think? Cold start injector? I just want to be done already - soooooo close.

Took the cat off, it looked fairly new but I decided to check anyway due to the initial head gasket failure from the previous owner. I could see through it just as well as the new one but I replaced it anyway.
As for the starting issue, we've noticed some considerable vacuum line leakage and the timing sounds like it's off, way off. There is a major lack of power (can't accelerate over 15mph) and that's when we can get it started with starting fluid.
Thoughts?

Brother in law replaced this little bastard ...
Still a few things I can think of but the list is getting shorter.
Has a half tank of gas ..
Need to check that we have 12V to fuel pump - should be, it doesn't die when running
Change blue sensor - done
Check fuel pressure regulator (gas smell) - OK
Check fuel damper - OK
Fuel pressure should be between 38-44 psi - need to check
No fuel to upper plenum, no start
For the record, there were 2, 90 degree bends in the fuel line near the gas tank and that's why it wasn't getting fuel. :sniper:
Brother in law found that and saved me $150 for the fuel filter and strainer.
The firing order was wrong and that's why we were getting a knocking sound right above idle. Here's a video of it running now, beautifully ...
New engine, new everything pretty much.

^^^Yup! I just cooked one of the speakers in the back of mine as well. After looking at the panel and such it sucks. If I didnt care about the panel as much I would just use a cut-off wheel and cut out the square that goes over the speaker and just clear silicone it back on after replacing the speaker...but I care so...
