sr5 5 speed slush box, It has a sanoran steel 1.2 kit, rides great on the mean streets and freeways of Los Angeles, but for flogging the desert, i see some uca's and 2.5 coilovers and shocks all the way around. Going to stop in at radflow one day as they are about 10 minutes from the house, maybe kings or icons, just not sure as of now.
Anyway, the rig has trd headers, odyssey battery, shore power connection, wired for work lights up top, trailer brake and 265/75/16 yokohama ats-2 tires { kinda regret not installing 285's at this point }.
This week i will be getting a few rigid dually d2's for my home built light bar, and will be looking for a cargo basket for the roof rack. I as well not getting a baja rack before getting the yakima racks.
She is a work in progress, but will not be my primary desert rig. I am still a dodge diesel guy at heart and love my dodge rams. But, this little runner is much easier to zip in and out of traffic and PARK.
My rig has the basic issues, power antenna went poop, back hatch lock has dropped into nowhere, one rear window switch no worky, and the 4 runner really does not get good milage, i am averaging about 16 with city and freeway driving, just wish she had at least a 20 gallon tank.
Going to take her down to the baja 1000 and see how she likes baja for the first time.
That is my story and i am sticking to it.

No its the fat lip bumper. Just missing the valance. Notice the cut out on the bottom center of the chrome....that's where the lip is. The 96-99 is straight across.


And anyways. Welcome to the forum. Wishing I had a five speed.

That's definitely the older style bumper. Fat lips don't have those lights in the chrome part. Also, the older ones aren't straight across, they have that cutout.

It is the factory bumper, just removed the valence section when i built the light bar. I think it looks better then a piece of plastic hanging there. anyway, too each is own.

as requested, primary Baja transportation. Just sold her to build a new one.
2000 dodge ram 2500, cummins power, real world 500 ponies at the rear wheel, mega torque, 6 speed, south bend clutch, 150 horse injectors, edge turbo, edge comp satacked on a ez. Lots of mods, 10 inches clean travel in the front, 14 strapped in the rear, fox 2.5 shocks, rear triple by pass, deaver 3" 13 pack in the rear, kore coils, control arms and sway bar, the list goes on. Very capable truck. Has taken me from the tip of baja to the arctic ocean. White one was my truck before this one. I love my dodge diesels.

Man i love those style rams. My old mans got a white 2001 that just rolled 145,000 over the weekend and the 5.9L stills runs like a charm.

I drove it through high school for the most part, actually surprised i didn't get any tickets. For a 17 year olds first car, the pickup in that engine was excessive
