my 2003 4runner has been stolen

Hard to tell, but your ignition looks untouched? I guess it was stolen by towing.


Lucky they did not take the headrest covers off.

Funny about those headrest covers!

Still doesn't make sense that they towed it - and double parked it too!? :confused:
 
Have you checked ebay and local swap meets to see of you can find the missing parts and possibly nab the thief. It would benefit all of us to find out how the thief(s) moved the truck, any indication of scatch marks in the front of the truck from a hasty tow job?
 
the 4runner is at the shop. Just waiting for the insurance ok so they can fix my truck.....the insurance adjuster looked at it taday. Now I have to wait for the insurance
 
I guess it could have been a lot worse for you. The pictures look bad, but that stuff should not be too bad to replace. At least the truck is in one piece. The thing that puzzles me is how the officer who gave you a parking ticket didn't realize your truck was stolen. All of the signs are there: Fancy looking SUV with electronics ripped out of the dash, dash in pieces, parts laying everywhere. Hmmm, maybe something doesn't seem right? The least that officer could have done is run the license plate # or VIN on the computer in the police car. It should have come back as a stolen car. This stuff really angers me. :mad:

I agree -- that's very odd. I have the utmost respect for our law enforcement officers, but how any semi-intelligent person could see an illegally-parked, late-model SUV with a broken window and massive hole in the dash and not realize that it was stolen is beyond me.
 
Just curious and don't want to prolong your pain Haro, but how did they steal it? Is there evidence of hot wiring? Towing? Sounds almost like a collaborative effort between a towing company and thieves. That sucks!

the ignition looks good no damage
 
I'll get my car back august 8-12......the shop is going to replace every part that was damage or with a minor scratch..


now I have to shop for a radio..... I like the double pioneer d1$1200. it look more stock
 
my 4runner still at the shop.. they tried to give it to me last saturday but I refused to take it. there was about 3 scratches on the passenger front door panell, in the glove box the little compartment was missing.and many other small things

Sorry you can't enjoy your Runner yet. Still no indication how it was moved/stolen?
 
finally got my 4runner back..
It took a while because shop " JOSEPH AUTO CENTER" at 1129 E 177 st. bronx ny......they are the worse I wont recomend to nobody.. they tried using old scratch parts from the theft while the insurance paid for the replacement....

this is my first and last time I deal with this shop
