I did end up ordering a CQ1 relay on eBay. Just had to travel here from Hong Kong now.

Awesome thread and fix! Bought the relay off eBay for $12 for two, a soldering kit from Amazon for $20 and spent an hour on this fix. Super easy and it totally worked!!! :clap2: :reddance::reddance::reddance:

Hello All,
I just purchased a 2004 4Runner Limited with the V8, and the intermittent setting on the wipers does not work, the wipers also stop on the wind-shield and do not 'return to home'
Looks like the link to the replacement PDF is dead again, if someone has a copy would they be able to get that over to me. Looking to repair this myself!

My daughter now in Denver, snow packed failure, her intermittent stopped working, and they won’t return to park from low or high when turned off. I’m just going to get the whole switch from eBay (NEW GENUINE OEM TOYOTA 4RUNNER FJ CRUISER WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH 84652-14642 | eBay) and swap when visiting her in a few weeks.
Does the steering column cover and switch come off easily? I won’t have any tools with me...

Easy, 5 screws in total, 3 for the cover and 2 for the switch and one electrical connector.
