Just picked it up!

This is my build/mod thread and I will post all updates to this first post and bump the thread as necessary.

I will post more non-crappy pics tomorrow when there is more light out. Finally got it! :biggrin2::dancin::frog: :bigok: Ended up financing it for 5y at 4.9%. Pretty pleasant experience overall. Also ended up getting the 2-year Premium Car Care INCENTIVE for being a prev Toyota owner and got the vehicle undercoating for $399. I hope I didn't get ripped off w/ the undercoating.

Also, I stopped by my local car audio store and paid for a Pioneer z110bt and Viper 5901 LC3 and I think I got a pretty good deal! Price for both including parts, labor, and installation - so basically a walkout price - was $2000. Let me know what y'all think of this price for both. I was quoted 2250 - 2500 at other stores. (Also, there is a 200 dollar mail in rebate for the Pioneer nav so really the total price for everything is $1800). I get the viper installed Saturday. I get the Pioneer installed whenever Metra starts shipping out Dash kits for the new Runner.

congrats dood...the magnetic gray is striking when clean, I had an 03 LE Sequoia in that color that I traded in for my 10 black 4r...I'll probably regret going to black(my first) lol. Good deal with the interest...I got 4.75 for 6 years and I've been to every bank around my county and only found one that would beat it and go for 3.59 for 5. Let me know how the air lumbar on leather seats feel like

I have so many ideas running through my head! One of the things I DEFINITELY want to do is convert ALL the chrome to satin black or matte black. The only problem is that there are so many strips of chrome on the vehicle and I don't know if those strips are easily removable. I guess I'll have to do some investigating or hope someone has already been through this and can tell me...

I wish! I actually have to keep the mileage down until I get new tires put on because I don't want the stock tires to accumulate too many miles since I'm selling them (listed here). Will probably get them switched out in 2 days, and then I can make unnecessary trips to the grocery store LOL!

will do. i just hope i don't end up having the issue of a "loose" part in the seat that other owners have been having. there's been talk that it could be the lumbar that is the "loose" part in question. we shall see and i'll report back.

no i didn't bc i didn't know AAA had auto loans. ARRRGG! Oh well, I plan on paying the vehicle off as early as possible so that'll equate to less interest charges for me...

I actually prefer the gray myself, but bought silver to hide scratches. Anyways its a great look ing truck you'll love it. After 9000 miles I cannot think of anything I would change.

Did the stereo shop say if ALL the steering wheel controls will work with the Pioneer Z110BT Nav.. Here is the adapter for it. PAC SWI-PS Steering Adapter AVIC-Z110BT AVIC-X920BT NEW - eBay (item 200446079490 end time Apr-02-10 13:09:30 PDT).
Also the Pioneer video bypasses like the ones they are selling for $299 for the Toyota Nav's are dirt cheap AND work better.Pioneer Bypass Video AVIC-Z110BT AVIC Z110 lowest price - eBay (item 180473451835 end time Mar-25-10 23:18:05 PDT)

I'm in the same boat waiting on the stereo bezel but I'm torn between the Pioneer Z110BT and the Kenwood DNX9140 Nav units.Pioneer seems more user friendly but the Kenwood has the potential for better sound and uses Garmin 3D for the NAV .I've been going to the Pioneer and Kenwood forums and still researching.Both are great units.

Hey, I'm also thinking of getting that Pioneer. Please keep us posted whether the Party Mode switch still works, steering wheel controls for bluetooth (I don't think they will) etc...

Also, does the Pioneer have built in XM or sirius? Are you keeping stock speakers, or are you upgrading to add a sub? Thanks
