So I finally got around to building out my wife's 05 GX470. 135K miles.

She had a leaking air bag so I installed a trd lift from a 2017 4runner. Turns out not enough lift (about .5 inch) and not enough spring rate (550 front springs).

Anyway. Photobucket froze up so I'll describe the rest of the story and post pics later.
I ended up needing a new CV axle so I rebooted and installed an old one off of my 4runner.
Then my splash guards crumbled to dust when touching them so I replaced those. The slack in these convinced me that I need to change the body bushings.
nywho, this is where I'd show a pick of the successful t4r install. That is if photobucket worked
After that, I replace ALL of the bushings and links in the rear as well as the front.
Cue bushing money shot.
The t4r suspension came with UCAs that had 8k on them. So those went in.
Then came the hard part. I was really glad my wife convinced me to but new OEM LCAs. Even with the new LCAs this part of the job was a nightmare. BFH and sawzall were instrumental in making this work.
I REALLY like the moog allignment cams. They are beefy and greasable!
so build number 2 involved new toytec 2" rear superflex springs and bilstein 6112s set to the top level. Those went in along with and OME q0mm trim packer on the driver's rear.
And of course the coup de gras. Icon r
ebounds wrapped in 285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
The build is far from done. Gobi rack and other goodies to come.
