My 4th gen build

A few weeks ago I installed my new suspension. I removed the 181K mile XREAS with daystar lift and put in my 5100's with MOOG FJ coils. Also installed 2017 4runner UCA's that were taken off after around 1000 miles The ride is sooooo much better!

I also picked up some 5th gen SR5 wheels and bed lined them. They'll be getting installed with some 285's this winter.:becky:

Nice ride. What did you gain by adding the 5th gen UCA's? Just newer parts or are they different than the 4th gens?

Basically newer parts. Bushings and ball joints were brand new and cheaper and less work to replacing them in my old UCA's.

Looks great!! What do you have the 5100's set at? 1.75? 2.5?

Thanks! I have them set at 1.75. I thought about 2.5 but I'm glad I didn't. The lift is perfect and the ride is a thousand times better than my old spacer lift.

So I found my drivers side caliper was sticking. I went back to O'reillys and picked up a new caliper and rotor. I already had pads from my last stuck caliper on the passenger side so those got installed as well. Saturday night in the garage...:beer:

All finished and bled.

did you have a problem with the rear springs? like it dont seat all the way down on the axle perch.

Really like the modifications! What size bed were you able to fit in there or did you have to do something custom?

Would you happen to know if the lower control arms also swap right over to our 4th gens? I'm seriously considering doing the uppers and lowers rather than replacing bushings and ball joints with aftermarket...
Seems like they should both be a direct bolt on to me, but that could be my optimism getting in the way...

They don't seat onto the axle very well, but those bastards aren't going anywhere.

I can't tell you 100% if the lowers will work. I CAN tell you though that the uppers bolt up no problem!

Went to 4 Wheel Parts today in Brooklyn Park, MN and picked up an on board air system and a Smittybilt tire deflator that was on sale. I'll be getting a Slee Offroad compressor mount this winter and installing it this spring since we get pretty cold up here in the winter. I don't want to damage the compressor by getting it so freakin' cold!

Next summer can't come soon enough. We are going to try some Colorado trails!:bounce:

Do you have any rubbing, or have to do any cutting of the fender liner for your tires? I see you took the mud flaps off
