I suppose it really started almost two months ago when we were walking through the local Family Thrift Center (local grocery store) when we seen a Pepsi display with a SeaDoo sitting on it. I told my wife that we should fill a couple out, but when we got up to it there was a sign that said that the entries had to be mailed in. I almost walked away, but I turned back and grabbed a whole book of the things. I ran down to the post office later that night and bought a couple books of stamps and a box of envelopes. My wife and I spent the rest of the night filling out entry forms. We each sent one in every day until they ran out. I actually kind of forgot about it after that.
Fast forward to last Tuesday. I was at work when I got an urgent message from my wife. She had been selected as a finalist for the SeaDoo. Friday couldn't come soon enough.
We showed up at about 5:15 to get signed in and found out that she was one of 60 finalists. I was really hoping it would have been a lot less. Anyways, from that group they picked 7 names, one of which was my wife (Sweet!) They had 7 playing cards taped to a board and had the seven draw numbers from a hat. They had to go up and pick a card. There was one Joker in the group and if you drew it you were out and they did it all over again. Anyways, my wife kept drawing a high number and people ahead of her kept drawing the Joker. Finally it was down to my wife and another lady, who got to go up and pick first. She stood there trying to decide which one to pick. I wanted her to pick the right card, and she finally reached up and flipped up the right card. JOKER! My wife had done it, without really having to do anything. A new 2009 SeaDoo GTI SE 130. It was awesome! Matches the 4Runner too.
