What are "plastic wiring strips"?

Its "Nylon Cable Ties" in other words. I can make some pictures tonight and post them tomorrow if you want.

I am a little curious as to how you secured the wires in the back of the plug with cable ties.
If that's what you did.

6a) To connect the 1 feet wires that prepared in the step 4a, to the taillight plug. Simply use a tiny screw driver, pull in a bit and you could pull out the pin from the back of the plug. NOTE: the black color plug shows in this picture in the right side tailight, which the white plug above is the left side. But both are the same.

6b) This picture shows the wires are connected to the plug.

NOTE: you need to take off the taillight piece (just 2 nuts) and then you could have the both couplers connected inside the bumper.

Could you clarify how ecxactly you attached the wire to the plug. I was able to take out the pin from the back of the plug and after looking at it I tried to picture where you secured the connector wire to the pin.
Did you just slide the wire in along with the pin into the plug?
Did you solder the wire to the tail end of the pin? (cause I was thinking about buying the "Cold Heat" soldering tool to do this)

Does one really have to take the tail lights off in order to run the wires or is there another way?

Sorry about all the questions, but thanks to your work so far I feel I should ask you this before I mess things up

I strip the wire about 1/8 inch, then solder it to the end of the pin. It takes a bit skill because you need to make sure you're able to put the pin back into the plug.

I skipped this part in my writeup, because there're many ways to do... Have fun!

I won't say you can't... however, this is the shortest route (don't want to have a very long long wires)... and simple!

Just 2 bolts.... take you less than a minute

What are "plastic wiring strips"?

I'm guessing he meant Ty-wraps, cable ties, whatever, I've heard them called lots of different things. Basically you put them around a bunch of wires and put one end through the other (which has a one way clasp inside of it), pull it tight and cut off the excess. Once you pull them tight the only way to get them off is to cut them off with a set of diagnal cutters.

I understand wire ties, use 'em all the time. It just sounded like AlexJet used the wire ties to somehow secure the wires INTO the plug. Maybe I just misunderstood his post.

I chose to buy and install these. They work great for run, brake and turn lights. Wired directly to the tail light harness.
