My car can't breathe

So I encountered some post in yotatech or automotive forums where some guy was praising the factory exhaust system. He said that it had "great mandrel bends." But from what I remember, the last time I looked under there I was cursing about how the pipes weren't mandrel bent because they flattened out at the bends = NOT MANDREL BENT. So how bad ARE the factory exhaust systems?

I hadn't had mine a week & had to have it on a rack just to see wots under there - Xreas was being heavily discussed around here.

Everything was lookin' pretty good until I eyeballed the exhaust.
Holy pancakes, Batman! That snazzie stainless steel exhaust they speak of was disgracefully flattened [one each header feed from each head], into a semi-circle each, & crammed into one hole! Wowsers.

Ironically, I was @ the exhaust shop - a pretty good bud who had done quite a bit of stuff me over the years. ["Fast Eddie," or
"Quiet Eddie, " depending on his task @ hand.] He put his hand on his torch & said want me to fix this crap?

Being brand new, not to mention quiet, cool & collected, I declined. But yes, I noticed; wrote it off to Japanese high engineering.....
