Not done yet, But getting close. Need to wait till dark to fine tune alignment. Just placed the glass over temporarily to see how it looks. Still need to paint and cut 3 more projector shrouds, and also paint factory housing. Then seal everything back up
The outer projector shroud is a mess up. So ignore the weird gap.
the factory chrome will be tinted/smoked and I'll be adding an amber marker somewhere

These projectors barely fit. I didn't want to cut into the factor radiator core support, or the actual housing brackets.
for drl I might run the highbeam bulb at half power, or just the amber marker I'm adding in. Not sure yet

Hey thanks! Funny I actually studied your headlights to give me an idea of hey they might look since you were the closest I could find to the set up

Appreciate it. Turns out I'm not a fan of how it looks right now either. I think I'm ditching the "iron man" looking shrouds and just going with 4 basic matching projector shrouds all around. I feel that there is so much going on already with the 2 projectors stuffed in there that I don't need to compensate with an extreme shroud design.

the picture is just the upside down high beams.
also the fxrs are honestly very difficult to get perfectly aligned, i think the shield on my left one is out of alignment, the pattern of the cutoff curves down, and i know my bulbs are aligned, I chucked them in the lathe and centered them, and made sure they were both the same. i also had enough with the plastic ball joint and put a strip of metal to secure it from slipping out from the socket.

as d farms mentioned, those were the highbeams (my auxiliary lights)... the bixenons look like this

The bixenon are 4300k. (I don't like blue, I think it looks weird offroad and it strains my eyes lol)

Thanks, my set up was a 'fun' project as I'm sure you're learning. It'll be worth all the time and frustration once youre done with it.

Its hard for me to really imagine exactly what they'll look like till they're both painted and installed. Currently experimenting on an amber light. I keep putting the glass back on just to get s better feel of end product

According to HID Planet that's supposedly how they are, side bulb projectors are known to be awful.
I really like what the OP did, only suggestion if he wants the best output is to change the side bulb projector for a mini D2S and make the minis h1 the auxiliary projector.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Mini D2S's are getting great reviews. DDM has them now for super cheap if you just want to experiment. Threaded shaft and all..

they have had the mini d2s on amazon for about $50 for at least a year, it would be sick if someone just bought like 5 sets and made a light bar with them haha.
also im starting a new retrofit with these projectors i got. im not sure what they came out of but ive already basically destroyed my headlights so hopefully they work. im deciding whether or not to do a quad retrofit if i can find another set of the same size. let me know what you think.
