My "Fun DD" Build Thread

So the Dealership just called and said my 4Runner is ready .... and they accidently hit the radiator while replacing the water pump and poked a hole in it. I got a FREE radiator out of the deal.

Installed the front today. It went very smooth. I did the "jack the LCA to compress the spring" approach. Way easier than using a traditional spring compressor.

Overall I love the stance. Could not he happier.

Not sure that is next on the list other than to upgrade the headlight/fog bulbs but do not want to go HID. Any suggestions???

What setting did you end up going on?

Next on the list:

-Disable That Dang Traction Control  (maybe)
-Extended Rear Swaybar Endlinks

Would like:
BajaRack !!!!

Did you use a trim spacer or anything in the back on top of the Superflex for driver's side lean? I also just installed Toytec 3" springs in the front with my Bilstein 5100s and did not get the lift it should get and thinking about swapping to the OME 885s.

I am adding some OME 10mm Rear Spacers when my Extended Rear Links arrive. I do not have a big lean. Maybe 1/4"

Quick question...

I'm running 5100's on the 2.5 setting with my stock coils. Been contemplating switching to the OME 885's like you did. I know my stock are sagging some and I also want closer to 3.0" or 3.5" of lift in the front. So my question is did you notice any lift gain from your switch to the 885's ?

Yes. The 885 are roughly 1/2" higher. You may want a 1/4" or 3/8" top spacer to achieve 3.5" total lift.

Awesome. I have read and seen in threads that you will gain some lift but most of the vehicles are 4x4 or V8 so the fact that you and I are rocking the same rigs, i knew you'd have the exact answer I'm looking for.

Thanks for the reply.

Installed the links last night. Install was straight forward. While I had it up in the air I added OME 10mm Trim Spacers to the Rear. I also bent the brake line bracket so the lines wont stretch under flex.

Looks good. Help me understand when longer end links are necessary?

You have a pretty big lift. I just have FJ coils and bigger tires on mine. but I need to replace. In that instance would it hurt anything to get these?
