My led bar screams on the road!

Hey guys I recently purchased some brackets to finally put my led bar up and I love the look and the lights. Before I go any further I'm not trying to bash the bar or the brackets I used because they both are great quality and I am very happy with the results. My issue is that it is creating an insane amount of whine on the road. On city streets it's a decent amount of whinning and when I hit the freeway if my radio is not turned all the way up the sound fills the cab. I plan on taking the runner on a family trip in April and even if the whine can't be completely eliminated if we can just get the noise down enough so the kids can sleep on the trip that would be great. I don't want to take it off for the trip because I plan on using the bar during the trip. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'll post a pic of my setup when I get off work. Thanks!

A picture of the mount location will be key, you might need to remount it in a direction it doesnt pick up wind noise. Same thing happens when you put a rack on your car without a wind fairing.

Dose your light bar rotate? Could you turn it around so there is less resistance while driving then flip it for the trail?

Can you rotate the direction up or down and so you can test which position offers the least resistance?

Your going to have to trial and error this one unless you hide it behind a wind fairing or rack, etc.

Ive seen people run weather stripping on the back heat sink fins to help with air direction, supposedly quotes them down a bit.

Mine were screaming so I put some door edge guard on the fins. Quieted down significantly.

Sweet! Thanks for the help guys. I'm going to try the caulk because that's what I have available right now and if that doesn't solve it then I'll get some of those rubber pieces installed. When I searched it all I found was the weather stripping and some people said it had an adverse effect on the cooling so I just dismissed it. Here's some pics just for reference.

I have the same mounts and mine was making the same sound. I tilted my bar down just a hair and it quit

Does anyone know if those rubber clips will work with a curved bar as well? I have the same problem with wind noise

Just an update. Tried the caulk, did 5 inch lines between each of the fins on each side and no change in wind noise what so ever. If anyone has tried this method and it worked let me know. I would rather not put caulking all the way across just for it not to work or worse destroy my bar. I guess next is the rubber pieces.

Was this issue ever solved? I hate all the noise the lightbar makes. Whistling, and some vibration noise that sounds like your tire is running low ... i have a 50" curved lightbar and it is sooo stinking loud. Cant talk on the phone with someone past 70mph. I tried using doorstripping on the bottom four fins and it quieted down between 20-60mph in whistling but still does it at low speeds under 20mph, parking lot speeds.

So what really works? Please dont post a link to a product unless you personally have used it and know first hand that it works.

I got 2 lights bars.one in front and one on the back. And 2 small 2" where the CBI ditch mount. And my friends are calling my truck space ship lol. Wtf c

I can see these making noise. Why did you not mount it to that nice roof rack? Looks like the perfect location. Throw a clear flare up there and no noise. Here is my rwck with my home made clear flare that a lightbar could sit behind.
